Does anybody know how to remove the engine/ prop assembly from a vintage FANG.
Please share. Thanks. |

Only way I've been able to do it, is to pry the two halves of the Fang apart. Once you do that, then the engine will come out and you'll have to pry that apart as well.
I've used a mixture of exacto knives and flat tipped screwdrivers to force these parts apart. In my experience, it hasn't been pretty, there was no finesse, it was all about pure force and some of the "pry points" (Areas where I was prying) don't quite match up as well anymore. Hopefully someone else will have a better system for getting these parts apart |

thanks shogi.
is there any "factory" glue on the halves? would running a hair dryer or other heat source over the joints before prying on them make it any easier to get them apart? |

I don't think there's any glue, but it's been 5 or more years since I tried taking one apart so I may be wrong on that.
