Ugh, I hate the neon color crap.
Spring loads are okay on some things. I love them on the dtc Hiss Tank. Evan one two characters having them would be okay. They were awesome with Transformers, and I think that's why Hasbro starting putting them with Joes. But they definitly got carried to far. |

I can tolerate the spring loaded weapons. My only complaint.. why can't they make the missles look like actual rockets?? I mean come on.. I love Scrap Iron's rocket launcher and if it had spring loaded action with THE CURRENT ROCKETS it comes with.. then yeah, I can get into that! But nooooo, we have the Preperation H with launching suppositories!!

Neon does not belong on a military toy, end of story. I don't mind spring-loaded weapons, as long as they aren't huge and obnoxious. The ones that came with the figures, no thanks, those were too big and too ugly. Some of the vehicles were pretty good, but some were horrible. The Rockslide was horrible. Guns were way to big. I have a feeling Hasbro does the neon for legal reasons. Probably some jerkass parent tried to sue them because his kid got hit in the eye by a silver or black missle cause they didn't see it. That's probably why they are all 4 inches long now too. "Well if it had been four inches long and bright orange my dumbass little snotnose would have been able to se it comin and not been so grieviously injured. His poor little life wil lbe emotional scarred forever. we need 20 million dollars to make him feel better."

I don't mind the spring loaded stuff, at least the old stuff that had some distance. It shoots, figures fall down and the kid doesn't have to resort to a "Mk XXI 'Big Ass Rock'" projectile.
Neon, sure i could do without, but it made sense a couple of times. Yes, even the Alley Vipers make sense in neon if you study your military history. |

I loved em at the time! Some of my favorite figures are neon... 91 Law, 92 Flak Viper, Toxo Viper, purple 94 Viper, and 93 Muskrat. The spring weapons were alright.... not great though but I never even noticed the neon.

as a general rule no but there are some neon exceptions such as 94 viper, Ice Cream Soldier, and Alley Viper (though I don't really think those colors were neon).
