Gotta disagree:
And the only similarities between the Snow Cat and the M3 family of half-tracks is the fact that they're both, well, half-tracks. |

Well, that was the closest I could find... and it does some what look like one, just minus the tail.... lol
As for the Half Track, there is nothing modern that I know of thats closer. In all reality, a Half Tracks makes no sense in this day and age (80's and up)...

Not all of the Joe vehicles necessarily had a real-world counterpart.
As for half-tracks making no sense post-1950's, this is true, but there are plenty of nonsensical facets of Joe that are worse. |

Hey guys I love this Thread! Anyways I was Looking through Pics Of real world Military Vehicle and stumbled upon this bad boy. A Verlinden Iowa ARNG M578 recovery Vehicle. When I saw it I knew right away that it must have been the inspiration for one of my all time favorite Gi Joe vehicles, The 1989 Marauders LYNX.
LMK what you guys think!

According to Bell the Cobra and the Bell Huey has been upgraded to 4 rotors blade system and twin turbine engines (instead of a single exh port, there is two on each side) for each attack chopper. All electronics have been upgraded as well and the Cobra has been upgrades with night vision like the Apache. Plus the Cobra went from AH-W1 to AH-Z1 the Z is for Zulu and the stub wings for the Cobra has been extended to carry more ordnance. Like Sidewinder missiles for example. All I can say is now this awesome attack aircraft has been greatly upgraded, and from some of the pilots I've spoken to, the Cobra's are evenly matched if not better than the Apaches.
