Well I was just over on ebay a little while ago when I found this listing.
GI JOE COBRA SNOW WOLF - eBay (item 200316513291 end time Mar-06-09 21:35:35 PST) As I looked at the auction I realized this is an auction for 2 Snow wolfs not just one. The seller must have not realized that stating that simple fact might increase his chances at making a little more on his items. I contacted the seller to check on the condition as well as how complete they where and he wrote back, "To the best of my knowledge yes but no figures". Well I just had to place a bid, 2 snow wolfs even without figure at this price is a good deal. I don’t care if I win the auction or not, but if I do I will be pleased. That is after all what ebay is good for. Getting a good deal on items you wish to purchase. I have miss titled items like this myself, miss-labeling an item or forgeting to check spelling has caused me to practically give an item away. It is very hard sometimes to keep from making a mistake but as I have found it is better to check and recheck an items description before I list it so I don't loose out. So I guess my question is this. Have you ever made this mistake? Have you realized that you lost potential exposure of one of your items because you didn’t list an it correctly?

Shouldn't have said anything, some dickhead is gonna outbid you. But I actually look for mislabeled auctions for deals. I saw an auction labeled gold head destro black wolf snake eyes go for 140 and that gold destro was the sdcc destro. Course I found it in completed listings, but still!

I once bid on a figure with the title "GI Joe figure" haha, not a very attention grabbing or descriptive title... but the figure turned out to be a pretty minty v1 strait arm Flash with all his accessories. Got it for $4.99! Some old lady didn't know what she had.
Good for the buyer, bad for the seller. I put up a minty v1 Cobra Officer I had just bought off eBay a month earlier for $30 bucks, I had gotten fired and needed to pay the rent :( He sold for $12 fricking bucks!!!!! Sometimes it's a rollercoaster. |

I once saw an auction labeled as "Hasbro Monster" I checked it out and saw that it was an Inhumanoids D-Compose figure for $10! I picked it up then sold it on ebay a month later with an accurate description and everything, it only sold for $20
Doesn't seem to matter too much if you have an accurate description or not, it helps but it seems it's more about if people want it right then. I've seen times when an item like the Terrordrome would be all over ebay one week and only go for around $100 then the next week there's only one of them up and it's hitting $150 or more. |

A seller's integrity comes into play.
I'm an MOC collector, first off. Searching for an Eel, I found one on eBay on the cheap. the auction was titled 'loose Eel,' but the photo was MOC. a 'buy it now' auction, i instantly clicked and snagged it. i asked the seller afterward if it was loose or MOC. he noticed he had made a mistake on his auction title and sold it to me anyways MOC. in the end, i was stoked to say the least - and i have much respect for the seller for standing by his word. |
