I meant to comment earlier, but I accidently deleted my response.
As I use to use the vipers; Python, jungle-camo and Crimson were just slightly specialized who had an extra duty. There probably wouldn't be a dedicated Viper Officer with these assignments. I used the Gold Sonic Viper as the Highest ranking Officer a Viper could be. Maybe a an 0-4 Major? Then I used the V8 Purple/Blue Viper as a 0-3 Captain. I used the 1998 all Gray officers as Lt. Next would be the Ver 5 Viper who had the reverse burgundy fatigues, Blue Vest. Sgt Major/Master Sgt/Color Sgt? Then would be Gold Faced Vipers who are Sgts. After that would be just a regular viper. Not sure about the Monkey-Armed 12,13,14 Venom vs Valor ones. They are quite a departure. I used them as Airborne. Red Ver 12 as Sgts, Blue Ver 14 as the Troopers. Not Air-Vipers who are pilots. Version 4 works well as Naval vipers? I always used them as Air-Vipers since 1. the Iron-Anvils look the same and 2. most of the other Airborne forces seem to display some combination of Purple. (Since I own only 2 Iron Anvils but 6 V4 vipers and 6 Annihilators, who share the exact same colors, I use them as Iron-Anvil troops and the black ones as Sgts) This leads to the Modern Age. I use the Red Vipers from the FANG/CLAW set (Ver.19) as Air-Vipers. Not like the Club version Air-Viper who is just the Hurricane Pilot. They are more like Warrant Officers. A.V.A.Cs are full blown Officers.

Ha, that's like Snake Eyes. How in the hell is the ultimate fighting machine no higher than an E-5 (maybe E-6)??? Maybe all of his solo unapproved missions have kept him back in rank; but that would be a major slap in the face to a guy you can count on to go into any mission without hesitation. And ALWAYS succeed, mind you. ;)

Tyroc, sorry I couldn't find a pic of Rugrat, so whenever I do I will add it. I know the Dreadnoks also had a Air Assault that contained a Fang & a Skyhawk, but they seem like a odd choice for the Dreadnoks IMO. Also IMO the Swampfire is a perfect vehicle for Zanzibar. But I didn't like the Air Skiff he came w/. Last edited by Darkhawk75; 05-22-2014 at 04:39 AM.. |

So here's what I have so far:
Troopers can decide if they want to be an officer or a Viper. The Viper path being more money down the road. Working on Armor at this time. The Cobra Trooper being either a Stinger Driver or a Hiss Driver then progressing from there Last edited by Darkhawk75; 01-26-2013 at 02:11 PM.. |

Cobra Armor & Transportation
Thoughts would be appreciated. After reading and rereading the filecards this makes the most sense to me. Neo-Viper was included b/c of the HISS IV & Ringneck. Figured Cobra would Genetically enhanced from differnent Ground forces to make up the Neo-Vipers Last edited by Darkhawk75; 01-26-2013 at 02:14 PM.. |

Loooks good. So do you use the Coils as a separate group? I seem to remember something being said. (I just group them with Serpentor as his Vehicle Drivers)

Yea, I have them as Street-Vipers w/ the Alley-Vipers. They changed their name b/c Serpentor's group called itself The Coil.

My top commanders are:
GI Joe 1. Gen. Clayton "Hawk" Amberthy (In overall charge) 2. Gen. Flagg (Hawk's Clerk) 3. Adm. Keel-Hall (Naval Ops) 4. Col. Transco (Steel Brigade and Jedi Force Commander) 5. Col. Steeler (Armour Corps. Commander) 6. Col. Ace (Air Force Leader) 7. Col. Payload (Star Brigade Commander) 8. Col. Courage (Infantry Operations) 9. Col. Scarlet (Intel) Now I've got to contemplate the Cobra Brass. |

Are you using Hiss Commander and Rip It as 2 separate people?
I have Rip It as my overall Armor Commander Under Maj Bludd Unless you use him as part of the Plague
