I'd say yes since it is just bigger, has more firepower and can carry the whole crew in one shot versus the two seater VAMPs.

I removed: Grand Slam, Sci-Fi, Red Spot, Cross-Country, Tollbooth & Hardtop from Sigma Six. Going to add them to the Armor / Artillery.
What I am thinking is Grand Slam, Red Spot & Sci-Fi as HAL Operators plus Greenshirts for the crew. Tollbooth, Hardtop & Cross-Country just belong in Armor (my opinion). For the ones I already have on the team: Hot Seat, Dodger & Backstop as Raider drivers. Possibly add Cross-Country as a Raider driver. Thunderwing in charge of the Armadillos. I think I will go w/ 4. -Blocker as one of the drivers (?) Last edited by Darkhawk75; 06-12-2009 at 01:10 PM.. |

Ok I just realized I didn't respond from yesterday.
I don't think Armor and Artillery ever travel together. One is too fast the other is meant to be slow. Plus most tanks are a sort of artillery in themselves. They should be separate. I like the team of Armadillos. I imagine the Joes would like using those alot. I don't think the SLAMs need to be towed. They are self propelled. Although with their low profile I was always curious how fast they go. But they have a hitch on them too for towing. The other thing is the HAL. I don't think that is an indirect-fire artillery weapon. I suppose it was meant to be. I just always imagined it as a anti-Aircraft weapon since it is a laser. Maybe they can be towing the Mountain Howitzer. I think a couple of HALs and a couple Whirlwinds should round out an Artillery/Anti-Aircraft team with the MMS as support. Sluggers being the big guns. Quickstrikes are cool but they may need to be separated too. Or have your treaded vehicle armor team and the Quickstrikes with the Rolling Thunder. The ROCC seems more urban to me, maybe with the Artillery works. I don't see it fitting with the Armor like the Maulers and Grizzleys. If it goes with the Rolling Thunder it seems like two command vehicles. I think the Rolling Thunder can serve as it's own command vehicle. Sorry if I sound too critical. I love the vehicle choices. This is probably the hardest thing to figure out in a joe verse. Artillery almost doesn't fit the Joes at all, but they made a ton of cool toys and characters. Where's Barrage? |

Are you having an engineer team? A team that would go in and be responsible for bunker building and making airfields?
Tollbooth and Hardtop are naturals for that team.

Appreciate your opinions.
I thought the SLAMs were towed. I think I remember that from the comic. Never owned one. But those little wheels I imagine it doesn't go very fast. I can't believe I missed the Mountain Howitzer. I will replace the SLAMs w/ those. Artillery: Sluggers (x2), SLAMs (x4) & Mountain Howitzers (x4). I intended for the HALs (x3), MMSs (x2) & Whirlwinds (x2) to be there protection. I paired the Sluggers w/Equalizers for the same reason. Rolling Thunder as a Command vehicle is brillant. Replace the greenshirts - Communications w/ Dee-Jay, Driver w/ Armadillo & have Major Storm in command of it. --I always used this as an artillery vehicle b/c of the 2 rockets. What to do w/ Steam-Roller? another Quickfire driver or another Battle Bunker? I meant for Major Storm in command of Artillery as listed above. Steeler in charge of an Armor Platoon & Thunderwing in charge of another Armor platoon. I believe Armor platoons are 4 tanks but due to the size of the armadillos I raised that number. Slaughter in charge of the Quickfires & Raiders to include Clutch & Rock 'n Roll. This is where Gen. Rey would be. No Engineering team. Just placed them w/ Armor Last edited by Darkhawk75; 06-17-2009 at 11:56 AM.. |

Maj. Barrage is in charge of Sigma 6. Again his filecard just didn't make it sound as if he would be in a vehicle.

I'd put Steam-Roller with another Battle Bunker.
I love the use of the Hammers to tow the artillery. Great idea. I never had a SLAM either, is it self-propelled? Or was the idea that it would be towed to the battlefield and then able to move itself around the battlefield as needed to get to it's targets? I'm a huge Whirlwind fan.

Loose Cannon: I don't think the SLAMs need to be towed. They are self propelled. Although with their low profile I was always curious how fast they go. But they have a hitch on them too for towing. So I don't know. I like the Whirlwind as well. I would go crazy w/ them. I could raise the number |
