I think it was like 8 bucks. It was just the 2 figures and some weapons.

I don't remember what they sold for and I only have their cut filecard. I wish I had their full one. I can tell you this though I have my full cards of my single figures from 1987 and they still have the price tags on them. Toys "R" Us sold them for $2.69 and Woolworth for $3.99. My 1988, 1989, 1990, and 1992 full cards have $2.79 TRU stickers on them.
Somebody ripped the price off of the TRU tag on my 1987 Cobra La 3-pack. It must have been given to me as a gift way back then. I wish I knew what the price was now. By the way just think of this, it's been just over 20 years now since that TRU $2.69 price point and at Walmart the the price of the figures are not even twice that. Pretty good after 20 years. I don't know, I remember when my father came home with them though. I was very excited.

yup, I was just about to say $5.99. I have a vivid memory of buying them when I was nine. my Grandmother taking me to TRU and I was looking for them specifically, and my brother bought the Ferret.

Thanks for the replies. It would seem that the upcoming comic 2-pack release is quite the bargain at $10. Better quality figures + accessories + figure stands + file cards + comic. Even accounting for inflation, two figures for $6 in '85 would be over $11 today.
It's nice to see Hasbro doing things right these days. |

hey badbrad, i grew up in the very center of the us, salina ks. alco was the center of my world, the joe sections, yeah sections, were enormous. i always remember air supply being pumped through the speakers as i zipped back to the treasure. they actually still have one in fort riley near junction city. i've went in there on my way back home for the holidays and it was pretty sad, so was the wal-mart across the street. i think i heard a cover of air supply while i was in there, heh, heh.
