For 90 plus issues of G. I. JOE A Real American Hero Snake Eyes face was never revealed. All we knew is that he was horribly disfigured and when people saw his face, they would get freaked the fuck out. I forget what issue it was, but when Snake Eyes was hooked up to the brainwave scanner, somebody put a cloth over his head to prevent other people from getting sick.
Then finally, while at a comatose Scarlett's bedside, we finally got to see Snake Eye's face: Not for nothing, but this was one of the most anti-climatic scenes ever in comics. You mean to tell me that this was the face that was taking people aback? Seriously, shouldn't Snakes Eyes, (considering the severity of his injury,) and the fact he took flames and hydraulic fluid straight to the face, shouldn't he look more like or better yet, this guy

This was a pretty shocking image for its time, especialy in a comic geared towards kids.
I was only like 11 or 12 when I saw this and it was genuinely disturbing seeing one of my favorite hero characters so badly disfigured. Up until then the worst I had seen in a kids show was the Transformers movie intro when everyone gets wasted. V

Really? Threads like this piss me off,
Mods for the first time in the years I have been on this forum, I am asking a thread to be closed. really man??? your comparing a comic book drawing of a war scarred soldier to the real life disfiguring trauma and tragedy that my Marine brother suffered serving his country in war, not to mention to use the picture of his wedding to (IMO) the coldest woman to walk the planet, I saw this Marines story, his unit attacked by a roadside bomb, severe burns over 70% of his body, on the talk show this bitch was "I dont care i still love him for the man he is on the inside, and yes I am still marrying him.....less than a year the bitch divorces him in less than a year cant even look at him in their wedding photos and then you use his pic to describe war time disfigurements with the title "better yet this guy"????, can you imagine living the rest of your life with this disfigurement, having small children cry when they see you in public, not being able to have the love of a women ever again, most men would eat a bullet but this Marine carried on. Dude why dont you just use the photos of the people who had legs blown off in Boston, with todays events I am surprised by the callous way you just threw this thread together it is beyond me. Have some respect and humility toward your fellow man, and the soldiers that defend you. thats all I got to say on this subject. |

Throwing a third to Marine-73's request.
This thread is nothing more than a poorly worded attempt at trolling. It's ignorant to say that a comic character should have freaked people out more and then use an image of a damn real life war hero as your measuring stick for grotesque. I say a lot of insensitive shit on the 'tank, but this goes too far. |

Learn the English language while you're at it. The title of this thread makes no sense.
