Several reasons... as previously mentioned Nostalgia plays a large role specifically with the 25th Joe line. However I have collected toy lines that were not specifically for nostalgia.
The thrill of the hunt is a small part of it for me, but on the rare occasion I do find something in the wild it is exciting. I'd say one of the largest reasons I do it is because of the Creative factor. I am a customizer and I love figuring out how to transform one character into another. I love sculpting, painting & putting things together. I also love making dios and displaying my figures the way I want them. It is a small feeling of being a god and making the world in my image. So for me the creativity factor is the largest reason I'm into toys.

Well for me as a kid I was into Star Wars and had all kinds of SW toys, then GI Joe came out and I was hooked I traded SW toys sold them at yard sales just to get money to buy them, as most people here I got older I can't remember what my mom did with all my old Joe's and then I had a son at the same time the 25th line came out and started collecting them for him because I want him to get the same joy I had when I played with them. He's only 1 right now but I can't wait till he's 5 or 6 and I lay out the whole complete 25th line for him on the living room floor and say "have at it!"
