I remember having V1 Gung-ho back in 1983. We lived in a small trailer home in the middle of the Colorado forrest on the banks of the Rio Grande river. Anyway, one day I was playing with him in a potted plant. I must've left for school or went to sleep or something and he just vanished. Up and vanished, never to be seen again.
For the life of me I could not find him. My sister didn't have him, or did she? My parents didn't throw him away, or did they? My friends didn't steal him, or did they? For a while I started thinking that my toys came alive (this was pre Toy Story mind you.) and walked out the door. To this day I have no idea where he went and I often think about it. Strangely enough my mom still had that potted plant as late as 1999. I remember she was going to toss it out and I searched all through the dirt and leaves in some weird hope that I may have missed him long ago... but found nothing. I wonder what ever happened to him. Has that ever happened to you?

I had joes go missing all the time especially when you play with other neighborhood kids.
I remember in 3rd grade I brought my G1 soundwave (who was brand new) to school and left him in my cubby hole(locker for elementary kids) during class time, but when it was time to go home, I picked him up and he was floppying all over the place! I was like "what tha.." I knew right then somebody had switch him out with their busted ass soundwave! Stickers were all applied crooked and his head wouldn't stay up. Never found out who it was, but I was pissed. Last edited by DaViper; 12-27-2007 at 04:38 PM.. |

When I was around 5 but my original He-Man upped and disappeard! 10 years later I was at a friends down he block who was cleaning out his old figures. Low and behold there he was and I took him back(Thanks mom for initialing the bottoms of all my figures)
When we used to go to Florida for the summer my brother and I used to bring some joes down with us. Our Wars were played by hiding the figures around the room and such. I never noticed when some were missing but when they moved to a new house some years later my Grandmother sent us a package with some Joes she found hiding around her house. Needless to say I couldn't stop laughing. Guess Low Light was that damn good! |

I had a big old school medicine type bag that I kept them in. I once left them outside overnight because I think they were trying to occupy the midwestern front of my parents backyard. Long story short is that one of my 'friends' must have taken them. My bike was also missing another time. I lived furthest from any shady neighborhood too. Out in the country of Richmond Texas and no GI Joe or Bike is safe I guess.

Oh yes. To this day I still dont know whatever happened to my straight arm Snake Eyes. The first Joe I ever had, never let anyone play with him, never took him outside, and at the time, I had no siblings or pets. He..Just..Vanished!:(

Bah...it's happened to me with TWO figures AND a vehicle.
I remember being in a sand box with Dusty, Duke & the AWE Striker. I remember making pretend there was this HUGE sandstorm being caused by...yes, you guessed it, the hurricane forces from a Fang's helicopter blade, lol. I buried the AWE Striker. I left the sandbox to eat. Came back to Sand Box. Figure and vehicles..GONE. I searched everywhere. My mom searched everywhere. I was absofrigginlutely heartbroken. WAH! |

I once brought a toy airplane with me to the playground and by the end of the day I was looking through the sand trying to find it.
Kids, take a tip: Don't play with your toys in the sand. |
