Same here, store them in HTS star cases and then storage boxes.

I use the HTS star cases as well, then they get hung on my wall. Any extra MOC figures are kept in tubs. But be wary, the star cases can get expensive if you have a lot of figures. But I think they are worth it, especially if you are a MOC collector.
