Here's the fact of the matter: Target paid around 40 bucks each to buy these things from Hasbro, then ship them all over the country, stock them on the shelves, and now mark them down. I bought one at full price, and three at $38.48. So, Target isn't even making their margins right now with this set. True, if it was a more attractive set, people would have jumped on it more. That is a Hasbro issue, not a Target issue. The people at Target don't know what is a "desireable set" versus a "non desireable set". True, 62.99 was high for what we got. But if I had to wager, I would say that Target will shy away from the higher price point items after 2009 due to their recent decisions to be more conservative in their approaches to stock inventory and purchasing. I do not regret purchasing any of them at either price point. I would, however, enjoy these large sets while we have them because I am seeing larger Joe items getting harder to come by in the future. It is not good business to sell items for less than you originally paid.

Hey D0oD don't feel Bad I over pay for shit all the time..
I paid 50$ a PEICE on ebay for those movie joker figures.. and I paid 165$ for the "build a hulk marvel legends for 7 figs... yes its my fault.. but Those went for 7$ on clearance LOL Don't tell me that didn't hurt... Also it hurt when ever I saw them "warming' the pegs at 9.99 about 2 1/2 weeks after I got them in the mail... So never feel bad about what you paid, it was what you felt it was worth at the moment. Never look back, because when you do.. its never pretty Quote:
Hello, first lets keep this post positive and no fighting so the mods do not shut it down.
Am I the only person who does not regret paying full price for their Target UBP? I know some tankers were lucky enough to live in states where their Targets had entire endcaps with them on clerance for 28 dollars, but here in Connecticut they have been full price until a few weeks ago, and even then my Target only had one marked down and it looks like someone threw it off a 5 story building! I know that I spend so much time stressing and searching for those damn jets that I was happier than S&*T to get the UBP two weeks before Thanksgiving for 70 bucks by giving the DPCI number to an employee and asking if they could go in the back storeroom and get me on ( thanks hisstank for posting the DPCI#). 70 bucks was worth not having to hunt. I would have rather payed 28, don't get me wrong, I just do not regret jumping on it when it came out. |

Happy? No, indifferent is the word I'd use. I just picked up a 2nd to open for $28 so all is well in the Headman universe.
