Of my entire collection, I have two items that are my MOST cherished possessions. First, is my MISB 1986 Serpentor Yellow Neck. Second, is a very rare 1986 Serpentor Yellow Neck that is still sealed in the plastic bubble with the red cardboard background. This was handed out to Hasbro employees in 1985 before it was released in stores in 1986. Finally after many years in search for this rare item, I was able to find one and purchased it. Ironically, I found this online during my honeymoon (giving it more sentimental value). I decided to send it out to AFA to get it placed in a plastic case to preserve it. I wasn’t really that interested in getting it graded but most importantly wanted it placed in a protective hard case. When I received it back from AFA, I was in complete shock and disbelief that they cut it out of its sealed bubble and graded it as a loose figure. I was actually sick to my stomach! Although it’s only been a few days since I got this item back, I have been so upset and bummed about this incident. For those of you who read this, thank you! Just really needed to vent…

The most merciful thing in the world, I think, is the inability of the human mind to correlate all its contents. We live on a placid island of ignorance in the midst of black seas of infinity, and it was not meant that we should voyage far.-HP Lovecraft

I must say though, if they did that to me I would be absolutely furious, in fact I'm angry for you. I can't even believe the absolutely stupidity of it. When you were filling out the paper work for it did you make some mention of wanting an uncirculated grade? I think thats what they call it when you mail them something sealed and want them to open it.
I'm just at a loss for why they would ever do something like this, as a company who's sole purpose for existence is to protect/grade/authenticate very rare action figure items.
Really sorry for your loss, dude. I would absolutely tear them a new one if I was in your shoes. At the VERY least they should be giving you a full refund.

Really, I am just so upset I don't even have it in me to call them yet. It almost seems like a bad dream!!!
