I know, but in the ARAH days glass canopies were the style.

it also needs a place for soldiers to stand. Preferable right next to or directly behind a missle launcher

I think I saw that same thing on a Top Gear episode. Either "Apocalypse" or "At the Movies". Right away I thought of G.I. Joe too. Must have been the way it had a completely exposed driver. But it was capable of driving over a landmine safely.
