A big, festering thumbs down to IDW for trying to milk its supporters. Why does there have to be 6 covers to each issue? why?
Issue#0 I can sorta understand. Issue #1 ok....really? Is issue #2 going to have 5 covers as well and an "incentive" cover on top of it? This is ridiculous and I lost tons of respect for them already. Then when the other two books come out, the same garbage will take place...just wait. IDW, you are pathetic. |

the first issue was "meh"...I know its only the first issue but if it's supposed to be an new introduction to the old characters it failed...not horribly but I'll wait ot see what happens in issue two.

They must have gone to the Dreamweave School Of Comic Printing. Now as long as they didn't go to the Pat Lee School Of Paying Your Employees we are all good.

Just a thought but...
What if the female Dial Tone is just the new one? The male retired, with honors, and his protege, formerly called...whatever (Radio Waves like I saw upthread?) takes her mentor's call sign to honor him. Or perhaps the original DT died and his protege takes over to honor him. It's just a call sign after all. It's not like she is the exact same person from the file cards you grew up on. She's just using a call sign familiar to the mythos. |

Not bad. Their ideas seem to be on track. Artwork is great. Like others have posted too early but I'm hoping. What happened to Devil's Due? I am assuming there rights expired. The WWIII storyline was good and the writing was awesome although the artwork started to suck during the WWIII comics.

Especially during the IMAGE launch saga there was freaking ten covers of everything. No body can afford to collect them all. I tried at first but ultimately I got disillusioned with the whole industry and sold my collection. However, Since I'm buying G.I. Joe to read and not ONLY to collect. I don't care about being a completest so I only bought two covers of each issue, mainly the ones I liked. The most rare of the G.I. Joe covers also seem to be the ugliest.
