im not trying to disrespect anyone. why do people sell items, but dont want to ask a price for it. they ask the buyer to come up with a price. its very frustrating to me.
i actually got into a verbal altercation with a guy at a swap meet cuz of it. yes it was silly of me cuz i should have said ok and walked away. basically i walked into his booth, cuz he had toys and i notice that there was no price tags on the toys he ws selling. so ask why there was no prices on any of his stuff. he said i let the buyer come up with price, then he went on to say dont try and low ball me cuz i know how much the stuff is worth. and that is when i lost it. cuz to me if u know what the stuff is worth, then put a price on it! anyway let me now what u think |

I agree if you know how much you want for something than just list the price. I hate B/S/T threads that say don't ask how much something is, make an offer. All this does is drive up prices, because it becomes impossible to browse for competitive prices when everyone's prices are hidden, and for this very reason I tend to avoid doing business with these folks.

he doesn't want you to low ball him, but if you don't really know the price and offer too much he's going to accept it... what a jerk! Put a price on it, and raise a bit if you want to make some cash, at least that's the honest straight way.

I've heard people say "I know what this stuff's worth", only to be proven that they don't. I bring Bellomo's book with me to shows as backup as a guide to use to make offers.
