Nooo... but you do have additional branches that fill the same roles (some of the time!) as you would in conventional Western Military.
Marines remit covers defending instilations and territorial borders, often (as they're a Naval offshoot) using amphibious landing craft... They function (in the UK at least) as a combat 'elite' unit, sent into deal with the harshest of environments, and have a prestigious Commando wing, which also deals with infiltration and insurgency. I think Cobra covers these opperational areas with; a) The Crimson Elite - Operational remit including infiltration and defending instilations like the Terrordrome. b) Cobra's Ninja Forces - Infiltration, Insurgency etc. c) The Dreadnoks - Amphibious landing craft and insurgency ops. ... of course you've got Cobra R&D as well... that covers your B.A.T.s and Venomised forces... which the West doesn't really have any match for...

He's our resident expert. This clinches it. And as much as I love the flagrant punkers, they are awfully stupid. Buzzer went to Cambridge, yet he gets all googly over gold.

I have a spreadsheet...
I was working on a Cobra based Role-playing game over the past 7 years... the game never really went anywhere, but I kept a hold of all the maths and workings out, even re-worked some last year into a Hurt N' Heal style game, but never managed to get enough players. I even started working on a 'Cobra Cadet' organisation loosely based around the Boy Scouts... If I get a chance I'll upload it at some stage. It's interesting to have a nose through.

Buzzers filecard doesn't tally with the cartoon Buzzer at all... I agree with you Foolproof - It makes no sense at all.

Yesss...TRU should do a Cobra Eel 5-pk, with a Lamprey or Hydro-Viper as the "officer".
If not, a ranking naval 3-pk with Eel, Lamprey and Hydroviper. An Extreme Conditions Underwater pack (the box art could have them attacking an oil rig or sunken nuclear sub) could consist of the following 7 figures: -2 grey Eels -2 red Cobra Divers -1 Lamprey (possibly a repaint in grey/red versus the blue/silver from the hydrofoil) -1 Hydroviper -Baroness diver (repack or new sexy black skinsuit repaint!) Other interesting possibilities for the Underwater pack leader could be Firefly (as an underwater demolitions expert), Copperhead (although he is mostly swamp), or Destro (like Serpentor Arise).

I believe there is an Eel in DDPs run of the comics as one of the Plague being second in command.
You can also consider Guillotine as an Eel leader since he is qualified. YOJOE.COM | Filecard Gallery - Guillotine I wonder if the Eel in DDP & Guillotine are the same person. |
