Come on guys, how many of you did this.
7th Grade, playing with toys slows down and you start noticing girls more and go through the " blowing up or destroying things phase". My best friend and I spend an entire afternoon setting up all our Joes, their vehicles and all our Transformers and other toys. Then we invited our friends over and sat across the yard with our BB guns and spend the rest of the weekend shooting and destroying everything. For the finally ( please don't get mad or cry) we blew up the flag and whale with M-80s in his pool. When all was done his parents went nuts and made us clean up all the broken bits of plastic all over the yard! His mom went crazy saying the pool liner would get ripped or that we could of given the toys to needy kids! I want to hear your true shamefull stories of any horrible acts you carried out against your toys before you knew better! Now if I could just get that time machine to work........ |

Even as a kid I took almost anal care of my toys. I used to get pissed off hardcore if one of 'em got broken.

I have OCD, and as a kid I also took care of everything and still do. But when I was in 7th grade I changed my room around because I wanted to be grown up and I just decided I had grown out of playing with toys ( boy, repressed that, huh) and decided it would be fun to destoy them before I got rid of em.

I took care of my toys, especially GI Joe. As I got older I sold all my other toys at Garage Sales or gave them away. But NEVER got rid of GI Joe's. Now since the 25th line has come out I am beginning to part with a lot of my vintage stuff on E-bay and such. |

I wish we had youtube back then, the flagg on fire and exploding in my friends pool really was one of the highlights of my childhood! Maybe we could re-create it if I win lotto and can buy an extra flagg to destroy!

I was never much of a toy-destroyer, but I totally get how it could be fun. And while part of me is saddened by the willful destruction of G.I. Joe toys, another part thinks the sight of a burning Flagg in the middle of a pool would be one of the coolest things ever.
