Usually its a month before the movie release date that the toys are stocked. The Indy and Dark Knight Toys sat in the back storage for nearly a month and a half before they could be stocked. Even though the boxes are marked "Do Not Display/Sell Before..." there is no block in the register and computer system that would decline the sale at Walmart before that date.

I was in a Target and a WM today and both were full to the brim of Combat Heroes. Most other toylines were dwindling because of the christmas and post christmas rush. Those are going to be clearanced down to practically nothing before they move around here.

It'll be for more comic packs, single packs and combat heroes. the reset is basically done at my local target.
Collectively, it doesn't really amount to very much new product space at all (maybe a row per product). Just the same stuff, packed in one more new row, instead of staggered round the old stuff. More organizational than expandable. |

There is a block in the computers that won't allow the sale of these products at Wal-Mart. If they are marked do not sale, then they can't be sold, trust me, I go through this all the time around here. Last year when the Indiana Jones figures came out, they were on the shelf a full week before they were supposed to be and the register wouldn't allow the sale. It's the same block that DVD's and Video Games have. Toys also come out more than a month before the movie. The Transformers figures were on shelves two months before that movie as was the Spiderman 3 figures. |

Well, let's see here, isn't Resolute due out in the first quarter? I think we'll start to see more of those figs soon.

That's when I look for them to come out. Hasbro is getting fairly predictable on there moves. Toys really don't give away that much, just what the characters look like, but hey, they want to start making money as soon as they can.

Was in one of my Targets today and the entire toy section, not row but the entire section of Target for toys was completly empty except for all the new pegs and tags. It was kinda cool looking in is all stark white appearance.
There is a LOT of space for Joes now so lets see what they pull out. A lot of the pegs said 25th on them so.....

My local Target was like that too. Cleared out and the GI Joe section looks like they may add more space to ours too. They had like 5 UBPs at the bottom on clearance to $54
