good golly i checked hts just now and it gave me a good laugh.
they have a ton of peg warmers single & comic packs with wonderful afa grading. f'n buzzer, roadblock, & wild bill. who in there right sound mind would ever buy these guys in graded condition for 5.5-8.5 x times more than retail. were are spirit & ig destro to join that wonderful peg warming trio? they should just put them in there own category and stop clogging up the damn pages when i am looking for regular joes. |

I guess some people have extra money to spend. I could not be les interested in them myself, and wow, I would never pay that much for a pegwarmer.

The AFA figures have been very popular since HTS has started putting them on their web site. I have a personal interest in them and I have been watching them ever since they started about a month or so ago.
They have been selling quite nicely IMO and it's a brilliant financial move by HTS since people are buying cases, sending them to AFA and selling them. Why not make the money themselves and give serious collectors what they want? People might laugh at a Wild Bill or Buzzer graded but finding those on 25th cards and uncirculated is very rare right now and will carry some value to collectors. If you are somebody who collects the toys to open, then this would not mean anything to you. However, there are a lot of people who want to keep these as an investment and AFA graded figures do sell well especially after a few years.

I stand corrected. Truth be told, I haven't really been watching them.
