The flagg is a serious toy. Think about the magnitude of it as previously mentioned. Plus the realism of it. To me if you are going to buy vehicles, you get the flagg a couple skystrikers and a tomahawk or dragonfly and your good. You can put all the shipwreck repaints as sailors and get a custom keelhaul and its staffed.
The terrordrome is a cool concept but poorly executed. I agree with previous posters that it is kind of stupid to have the jet in the middle of the base. Plus the rooms at the bottom are kind of sparse, and there is one big control room upstairs.
The joe headquarters at least is a little better in that respect, but it would have been nice if they added a barracks and maybe more distinct areas.
I thought the MCC and the defiant were kind of over the top....would rather have a flagg than a defiant....

The second part of this quote scares me a little by the wording and the "sailor" nature behind it....

Uh, where else am I going to launch my Night Boomer, Sky Hawks and OD-Green SHARC?
American aircraft carriers are the perfect vehicles for conducting strategic air-strikes anywhere in the world.

Find over 1,000 people to pay close to $500 and we have ourselves a 1985 Flagg. In the 80's it was "can we sell 10,000 units" of something. BTW, according to past Hasbro employees, the 1985 Flagg lost money.

I have always liked the FLAGG, but I felt it was way out of scale, and the occational person here saying it's almost too big to manage.
I'll focus on getting a 100% Defiant.
I've always toyed with the idea to make a FLAGG out of wood. Paint it like the toy, but just have the deck propped up somehow and the tower part off to the side as more of a faÁade.

I really don't care for the Flagg. I have owned three of them, and always traded them off. Too big to display, too small to really load up with Skystrikers. I traded off the Flagg, Defiant and Terrordrome (I have had 3 Flaggs, 2 Defiants and 4 Terrordromes) just a couple of years ago. For those that want them, great and more power to you.
I would rather see the WHALE in an updated version.

The deck is propped up with big plastic squares with X's, the side is a couple of thin long pieces of plastic and the tower is a facade. You would pretty much be duplicating the toy unless you made it bigger. And the only way to really display the toy is to make table out of a full 4' x 8' sheet of plywood.

I never hide the Flagg, although I periodically disassemble it from time to time to re-set up new things.
But to OWN a Flagg is to really judge it.
It's a great toy.
Right now I have my STARWARS BMF on display, my Defiant and Crusader, and one of my Terrordromes, because that's all the space allows me. And I must say they are always a hit with women I have dated.
It sorta secures the women into knowing a few things about me..
1- I have an imagination.
2- Gift buying would be easy for a guy like me.
3- I'm not spending my money on booze and dope.
4- I'm playful. Like a good balance of a man and a child.
I think all four of those things really kinda turn women on about the geekier side of my personality.
In turn, I am involved in athletics, writing, watching movies, and I read a shit ton of novels, and what not. So I try to keep myself balanced. I also have a really good relationship with my family. Which women respond to all those things too.
But again to OWN a Flagg, in whatever condition, is to really KNOW how cool it is.
