Quick 1985 Crimson Guard Question

Seeing as the new 25th Crimson Guard has a revolver in his leg, I know it was something different sculpted on the original 1985 CG figure.

What kind of gun was it?

I have no good photos and my CG toy is long gone. I've heard reference somewhere it was a like a colonial flintlock pistol or something to that effect, but I'm not sure cause I don't remember. This info is possibly for an upcoming piece of artwork I'm planning and I really would hope someone could help me out with maybe a google image search link to a photo of whatever actual gun (or close enough) it was on his leg so I can use it for reference.

Mucho thanks in advance, as this has haunted me for so long XD

It looks to be a small, single barrel sawed off shotgun.

I think you're right! i went and looked around through google at single barreled sawed-offs and I've see a few small ones that look very similar in design to the flintlock pistols, so I'm confident now that it's the small sawed-off as you said. Thank you VERY much for you help, I really appreciate it! :-)
