you guys are too much...
..I agree though. Repaints would exist with or without the completists. It's the only way Hasbro can achieve the profit margin they want.

Part of the reason the mass CC was made to satisfy those upset that the wv 4 CC didnt have the silver stripe on his helmet. Someone said with the repaints we sometmes get more accurate versions, so some people would get it for that reason. Also the wv 4 figures were extremely hard to come by, at least in these parts.
I will sometimes upgrade characters when a more accurate version is released. I'll admit I bought this CC (at Walmart price matched for the target sale) for the jar of rocks. It certainly wasn't for the silver stripe, since the paint was smudged on just about every one I've seen in stores. I could care less about about the stripe, but I still tried to get the best painted of those I had to choose from. |

If I buy figures I don;t want it's because they're part of a wave that includes several I do and can't come across them indiviaully. I buy frm BBTS and therefore pick up a whole wave unless I can cherry pick those I prefer over those I'd rather pass on. For example, I don;t care for the Para-Viper but I love any and all Duke. Repaints and repacks don't bother me so much. I'd prefer several chances to score a particular figure especially given that I am prone to occasionally customize.
This is a war that will rage forever with both sides giving their best arguments over why their opinion is better but ultimatley it's never going to stop. Repaints and repacks are a way of life and as far as I'm concerned, whatever keeps the pegs full is ok with me. The line will not die as a result of too many peg warmers, that's plain silly. All the peg wamers around me eventually dissapear. That said, there has to be some kind of demand for them otherwise Hasbro would stop making them. as much as some folks here would like to rant about how Hasbro is run by three chimps and the US special olympics team it's not true. They get their sale information and base their decisions on them. How many of us can claim to see the salke numbers from any given market?? anyone? Thought not. Love em or hate em they're here to stay. And with this open forum, complain as much as you like to get it off your chest, but lets not forsake the good folks at Hasbro who are clearly doing right by fans. Sure there may be a few figures in need of serious retooling and others in need of remolding, but the few don;t out weigh the many good ones. I'll keep buying so long as Hasbro keeps making.... Call me overly optimistic (figureativly speaking) but I haven't got much in the way of complaints about anything from this line yet...
