Completist(s) com⋅plet⋅ist /kəmˈplitɪst/ Show Spelled Pronunciation [kuhm-plee-tist] Show IPA Pronunciation
–noun a collector who attempts to collect an example of every item in a particular field. And I am and I do wish that we didn't get stuck with crap. And the fun thing is 2 years from now they will come up with better articulation or more accurate likenesses and we will be faced with the choice of buying the same characters over again. They did it (and keep doing it) with Star Wars...

Christ man, are you really so fragile that if people don't agree, you sulk in your lonely opinion? It's not about "winning" anything, it's that we jus have a difference of opinions. And not all of us who disagree with you necessarily agree with each other.

It was a few months ago, the day I first discovered 25th anniversery and I got an armload of my old favs. CC (with mass element), Duke, Snake Eyes (little did I know), 2 Vipers, Roadblock, and the Twins. It was gonna be a one-time deal to satisfy my nostalgia, but the internet was my undoing when I saw all the stuff that was out already. |

I am not buying any of wave 12 or 13. I might grab blowtorch at a later date. And for 14 I might get falcon and zap, depending.
Buy what you like leave what you don't. If people want to be completists let them. I love the fact that I have wave 1-11 and most of the figures are original. Its a nice manageable collection that I can look at when I feel like it. For other people they want the comic packs even if it means duplicates of the same figures. I really like dusty, quickkick and tunnel rat but am not interested in the comic packs, so for me they sit. I also agree with the persons point on what makes a crappy figure. I actually didn't mind buzzer. Was he great, no. but he was adequate. Whereas I think Firefly wave 13 is a waste of space but other people love him....go figure.... |

I buy the figures so they will produce the characters I really want. Hasbro has stated many times that reused molds is common place in today's toy market. If they aren't able to sell a mold x amount of times over they will stop making the line. As we've seen three times in the last 10 years, Hasbro has no problems moving on from G.I. Joe.

Part of the reason the mass CC was made to satisfy those upset that the wv 4 CC didnt have the silver stripe on his helmet. Someone said with the repaints we sometmes get more accurate versions, so some people would get it for that reason. Also the wv 4 figures were extremely hard to come by, at least in these parts.

Every time I saw him on the pegs, I debated about getting him and couldn't justify paying $7-8 for a little accessory. |
