I'd love to see some of the America's Elite designs (Shipwreck, Storm Shadow) and characters (Phoenix Guard, General Rey) and unreleased figures (The Plague).

Wow. Those polls really surprise me. I chose the cartoons b/c thats what I grew up with in the 80's. Mostly all my toys were the one seen in the show. Haven't touched a joe comic since the Marvel one waaay back in the day.
I'd also like to add that I'd like to see a Pythona(can't remember her name) and the rest of Cobra La.

The comic for me, I grew up with the cartoon but it was way to goofy for me then and especially now.
on that note can we have a Bongo the balloon bear (aka Candy) figure? |

i'm up for designs from both, as long as they're done well (i.e. original parts used where appropriate, good color schemes, etc.)
even if it's a way to slip in additional characters that haven't produced yet, like hit n' run, etc. |

Barrel Roll
Firewall Mayday Blackout Kamakura Plague Troopers Phoenix guard Billy Really though Resolute is the best thing to not quite happen yet to Gi Joe. The clip was good enough to pump some serious steam into a fading franchise. The designs are all very well executed. It is going to be BIG. I'm afraid the movie wont resonate with its target audience and alienate fans with all the liberties taken to the mythos. I really want a Kamakura figure. But I dont want him to be a bash of stormshadow parts. I'd really like him to have his own mold. or at least 85% his own mold.

I went with comic, as there so much more potential there. There's not all that much from the cartoon that they haven't hit yet (the obvious exception being Resolute). As far as coloring goes, I wouldn't mind seeing more cartoon versions of characters *coughflintcough* but NOT in the OMGDAYGLO style of, say, Wild Bill. By all means, give me a Flint with a green shirt, just not a GREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEN!!!!!11 shirt. |

Cartoon as that is what I grew up with. Not to mention I never even read a Joe comic until DD released their Reinstated series, but it was not until last year that I even read a Marvel Joe comic. The designs are better in the show than in the comics and are more fleshed out in colors. Especially Serpentor. The comics just used way too much green, brown, and blue, with the occasional other here or there. Destro, Ripper, Torch, Cobra Commander, and Major Bludd have all proven that cartoon colors look better. The only one I am torn on is Wild Bill, as the one that came from the comic pack with ScrapIron is toon accurate and is awesome looking, but at the same time, I do like the green and brown on him from the comic colors. However, Lady Jaye is also much better in the cartoon, as she looks like a woman. The comics make her look so butch and give her that horrific hat. On the otherside again, I do like DD's design for Zaranna a lot better than either Sunbow or Marvel came up with, so I'd prefer them to do a figure of her as that design.
Nevertheless, I do want figures of The Red Shadows, Phoenix Guard, General Rey, Zartan's daughter, and there was another character I wanted, but now I cannot think of who it was.
