I Love Hisstank.com!!!

I'm so glad i found this site last week. Me and my best friend have been caught up in trying to get all the new waves, we hit 9 or 10 stores tonight over a 6 hour and 215 miles road trip ( scoring wave 4 storm shadow, scarlett, duke, gung ho and cc ) talking the whole time how we loved Joes, grew out of them, and ended up destroying our collections just to act cool and grown up ( 13 yrs old, keep in mind ) and how we wished we kept them all, trying to remember our fav characters, and the ones we hated. It shocks me how many people older than me ( 32 ) are still into joes, how every1 thinks back fondly, tells thier joe stories, passes around info, figures at cost, and all the other things i see go on this site, good to know there are people like me out there, reliving thier childhood with the 25th joes, and have a place like this site to share everything with. best site ive seen in a long time

That rocks! My problem is that i feel a bit jealous that everyone knows a bit more about the Joes than I do. I watched the cartoon and bought toys as a kid (not many but i still have them, from '88-'92ish) but don't remember half as much as most people do on here. I think most of it is becuase i didn't follow the comic book, which i'll begin reading sometime before the movie comes out.

This board is awesome and it's great you have a car buddy to roll with. Makes souting for Joes easier and backup to defend from scalpers .

As they say "Welcome to the Tank!" and good luck with your future searches!

Yeah a buddy is cool, but I take buddies who are looking for wrestling figures. That way I don't have to share the spoils and we both benefit.

This is a great place for G.I. Joe collectors! I would be nervous taking a fellow collector with me on a trip, fearing that a fist fight or wrestling match might break out over a lone Crimson Gaurd hanging on a peg . Welcome to the Tank, there are a lot of good people here, and you will find the best coverage of all Joe news!

Welcome to the tank! Don't worry about being the only one destroying joes when you were growing out of them. I remember hitting flint in the chest with a hammer just to see his head fly across the room. haha kinda regret it now but oh well live and learn. hehe
My cousin just got into collecting joes again, but he's like 3 waves behind me. So I know no fight would break out between us..haha

I like it here too, not so political as the other sites... I just want to have fun, not get into politics... you know?

I recall sticking smoke bombs in my Joe and Cobra vehicles and seeing them smolder like they just got hit with enemy fire.

Despite trashing a few vehicles I really think collecting figures and toys back then helped me realize and respect the value of things I have in my life now. I also respect other's stuff more than other people I know who didn't collect toys as a kid.
