11 days after I ordered it. As I was opening this 20$ action figure, I saw something interesting on the package. It said, "Adult collectible, not intended for children". WTF? Aren't the new sculpt and other gi joe toys for children? I mean we're collectors, but many of us are either overgrown children, toy addicts, or we buy them for our own kids.
Wow, what does that mean? So I started posing it and making night viper sounds and getting ready to put him on a mission when I get home tonight. But regardless, have a good laugh at this. |

I assume that there is some toy system that approves stuff for the differant age ranges of children, and that the DTC stuff never went through the process.
I'm suprized that those ever got produced, maybe i will scrape together some money for a munitia |

The Collector's Club has them for sale too. Officer members can order Outback and Night-Viper for $28.99. They also have a set of 3, Lt. Falcon, Munitia and the amusingly typoed Python Control Copperhead. (typo is just on the site's description, not on the figure)

Thanks all but fill me in. Are these new figs that look like old figs? Is this a new kind of fig? Another Gijoe Series? A alternative Universe Gijoe series where that fight Cobra only on Tuesday? Or have I been just under a rock and everyone knows about these DTC figs?

In 2005-2006 Hasbro offered A line of GI joes to the fans through Hasbrotoyshop.com They were the direct to consumer line or DTC for short. They made 3 waves of figures. They showed the fourth wave and then canceled it. The GI joe club almost 3 years later is now offering the fourth DTC wave of figures. Although they have paint changes on some of the figures. They also added python copperhead to the wave. Hope that helps.
