i agree with everyone here, but some of the pics i've ogled over the last few days ( not to point fingers...) shows people here with armies of paravipers, cg's, cobra infantrymen, masses of BATS and extreme weather soldiers...i only have to be honest 12 cobra troopers and that's a mixed bag from having gotten them from dvd sets or comic 2 packs..imagine how happy ida been if i walked into a walmart tru and target and found something i needed/wanted..ive been getting lucky, but it also means having to go to walmart on the way to work or lunch before the hoarders get there. i only got the 2nd Btorch cuz i shelled out 20 bucks to get mine at the toy fair. so i thought i wont open this one. but ill part with it for a 25th alpine or lift ticket.

I'm not saying give the one figure that you found to some one else I'm saying take what you need, not more.
It's unfair for some of our fellow members being SOL because you wanted that extra $20 so you decided to buy 6 Blow torches to sell online. It's greed, It's what's destroying values and lives around the country.I'm not saying that by not buying a joe you'll single handedly save the economy, just that we should make an effort to be kind to one another instead of giving in to the greed that has corrupted so many in this generation. |

Or you can just do what some tankers do and tell us about your over priced listing on Ebay.........."6 hours left guys on my over priced Joes"...."but I want yall to have first crack at them".....Get out of here!!!!
Leave stuff on the shelves for true collectors who would have been able to buy them if you hadnt bought them to put on Ebay............or just go get a job!!!! I totally understand if you bought them in a case online and now you are stuck with extras and maybe ebay is the only place where you could go to at least get your money back and break even. If that is the case then I'm all for it, especially if no one here will take your extras off of your hands.

I think it is to get the scalpers on Hiss Tank to sing Kumbaya if a non-scalping Hiss Tank member sees them hoarding.
Hell, I'd be happy if they just mentioned that they found 1 and bought it so I know that there is some around here. |

Man that has always bugged me too because if we here on the Tank really had "first crack at them" then they would have been offered to us here at cost or just a little more and then if they didn't sell off to ebay with them, or take them back to the store.

Well exactly what scoop and mafia said.
We are a community to an extent in that we help each other info wise but in the actual collecting is the same as it would be for anyone else. What's so hard about leaving those eels on the shelves so some one else could be happy about getting them. I did however notice that some tankers , as we're called, feel a sense of this and wish to give happiness into others lives. They are buying joes from the stores and donating them to children less fortunate. So selfless it's good to know good people are still out there. |

"This is more of a public show say you see some one who wishes to purchase a figure of which you hoarded ( say 4 blow torches) as an intent to scalp on E-bay if say a tanker sees you perhaps that person should be able to get one of your multiples perhaps there is something we could say. I'm not saying give them all to him but give them a chance, maybe that person has been looking for that figure a long time and would finally like to buy him. Or maybe he'd like one for his kids."
Did you use an internet translation program to translate this from some other language? What the hell does this mean? Do you mean if I SEE someone who has three Blowtorches that I should have a codeword that would show that I am a tanker? I am not for or against the idea of courtesy among collectors...I just actually can not figure out what all this means. Josh
