As for the OP, having a collection you enjoy is great and trying to complete it is very fun. As others stated, the best advice is to not go overboard or be in too much of a hurry. But if you have the money and desire for both lines, why not? Some people collect art, antiques, stamps, shoes - why not collect different toy lines? |

THEN you move on to the new stuff I did this with Transformers. I figured I could get all the Decepticons and be done. That turned into Autobots. That turned into all U.S. toys. That turned into non-U.S. toys as well. Collecting is a horrible, horrible disease. Toys are awesome. Eventually, the only thing left to collect will be Food Fighters and Army Ants.
Robowang My g1 collecting is pretty much under control. I only bought the "animal" decepticons and the predacons from Beast Wars. Its just a matter of trimming some fat, so I can actually play with this stuff! |

After selling my original collection several years ago I am now collecting the ARAH line again. Although I am only collecting the original 13 and their assorted vehicles and such.

The idea of rooting through boxes and bins at conventions and toy shops is so appealing to me. I'll basically be starting from scratch. I'm already spending a lot of money on the 25th line, but I really think I want a complete '82 - '89 collection also. Trying to weigh the pros and cons. Help me out Tankers.
