Lady Jaye Mainframe Recondo Avalanche Blaster Blocker Breaker !!! Chuckles Cool Breeze Crankcase CrazyLegs Dee-Jay Doc Flash !!! Hardball Heavy Metal Knockdown Mangler Maverick Quick Kick Rampart Skidmark Sneak Peek I Sneak Peek II Thunder Tracker and... Dr.Mindbender Big Boa Croc Master I Croc Master II Darklon Overlord Raptor Serpentor I Serpentor II Voltar .... some of these guys I only remember briefly as toys... but their story had to end somewhere and I'm just curios on where it was ... thanks all. |

all the Battleforce 2000 guys were ambushed and slaughtered when Cobra hit their convoy back in the Marvel days. Aside from that I"m at a loss.

Lesse;
Lady Jaye died in DDP Issue 44. Stabbed by Dela Eden. Flash and Mainframe died simultaneously during the Invasion of Cobra Island to put down the Coil and kill Serpentor. I do not remember the issue. Their part of the mission was, I think, to take out a generator linked to air defense and/or EMP weapon. They had been more or less captured, and I think detonated their charges prematurely (or just didn't have time to get away). Chuckles died in the same battle but not the same issue. Serpentor essentially shoved his hand straight through Chuckles' body, and presumably his spine, severing his spinal cord. Sneak Peak II was, I think, killed in DDP Issue 11. He was inside a Dreadnok base relaying info on the new model B.A.T. The android detected and shot him. I think Hardball and Rampart bought it in DDP issue 41ish? I don't have the individual issue, but do have the "Rise of the Red Shadows" tpb. Anyway, I believe it was those two, along with Glenda, going after Big Boa and Asa Negra in a camp in South America, only to find those two dead and to be ambushed by Red Shadows themselves. Many of those Cobras you mention...Dr. Mindbender, Big Boa, Croc Master, Raptor...were supposedly killed by Cobra Commander by being sealed up in a cargo container on Cobra Island and buried. Dr. Mindbender returned as a clone, served the Coil, then went to advise Zartan (who was actually Cobra Commander in disguise...oy) and wound up getting shot by CC for treachery somewhere in the 30s of the DDP series. I know all of the Battleforce 2000 fellows you mentioned died together in one issue in the Marvel run, but I don't know the issue. And I had absolutely no idea that Recondo was dead.

The first Serpentor was killed by an arrow shot by Zartan right through his head. On a side note, I think that killing off the Joes in the comics is lame. Particularly the ones I like, obviously (most notably Lady Jaye and Breaker). However, whenever DDP loses the Joe license, I'm sure Marvel or whoever will act like most of those folks (if not all of them) had never died to begin with. |
