The first 11 waves were great! Hasbro has done a great job until wave 12. Now they look like they are mailing it in a little.
still, just because not every figure is awesome it doesn't mean the line is getting worse. Not all the vintage figures were good either. I think people need to break the habit of being completists and they will be a lot happier. Also, I take this hobby really casually and I like it because of it. I don't have a large collection. pretty much one of wave 1-11 plus an extra SE commando and the twins. That's about it. For me its about getting all the figures I really liked. Such as Torpedo, airborne, Snow job, Snow Serpent, Hawk 86, etc. So zartans siblings aren't going to be made and there is no covergirl or jinx. Yeah, hasbro is snaking the fan by putting a lot of the key characters in comic packs. Yeah that kind of sucks, but if you really don't like it, don't buy it. I'm not, and am much happier for it. Though the DVD sets are pretty cool for the most part. |

I do not think that you can show unconditional support, it is not fair to ask the fans to do that.
The fans are the one reason the line exists today, and the fans need to start telling Hasbro what we want and what is expected of them the manufacturer. The fans voices need to be heard about what sucks and what we won't spend our money on so that Hasbro will not waste time with silly things and delivery quality figures that we will actually purchase. As soon as a toy company begins to deliver on that basis, then we can talk unconditional loyalty. That being said, I am happy with the majority of the line so far and I hope that it continues at least until we get the core figures that we actually want. I watched Disc 1 of Season 1 Part 1 of the Rhino DVD set last night and compared to the small video clip hat we say of resolute I have to say.....resolute is going to rock. 80's Joe cartoons are classic and I have a type of love for them, but the promising quality and "X" factor of the resolute cartoon will be (I believe) the most flattering portrayal of all of our favorite characters ever! I mean, in Pyramid of darkness, Snake Eyes wears a dress WTF? I did not remember that one, it was just sick.....sick. |

I don't think it is fair to say "we must support Hasbro no matter what!"
I have bought, and love, the vast majority of the 25th Anniversary stuff, but far from all of it. For example, Wave 12; I grabbed Tripwire and the Diver, and passed the Tripwire onto a friend who wanted it (kept the mass element b/c he doesn't collect those). I will support the line as long as I feel it is worthy, but I won't "support it no matter what."

I'll be more supportive when they start sending out more product out to the stores, (esp. singles) so that a greater proportion of collectors can get what they want and not have buy from scalpers to get a fig I want that should be easier to find in stores. Driving to several stores and finding nothing anyways wastes more gas that I could be spending on figs.

I only buy what i like. You can't spend all your money worrying if Hasbro will stop making them if we don't spend all we earn.

Maybe, but the star wars crap just clogs the shelves around here, and when I go hunting the Joe section is alway, mind you ALWAYS small as hell compared to all other action figure lines even when they supposedly just re-stocked its just a few figs and barely EVER doubles of Any of the figs, especially Bat, snow serpents, firefly, beachhead, basicaly ANY good fig...just the same ole' Wild Bill, Duke, Spirit, etc, Hell the best luck I had was finally finding a H.I.S.S. Driver...a friggin hiss driver that's pathethic, when all I hear on here is people talkin' about waves I haven't even heard of let alone seen...
