yup. Serpentor's different colors and Breaker's different web gear alter their appearance, just like a more elaborate repaint like Firefly. the extent of the differences isn't the issue, just that they are different. so, they are all either repaints or all new figures.

Ok now we're splitting hairs...
Wave 13 Firefly = new deco on an old character. Nothing inherently "new" to offer unless you like your Firefly to have a wardrobe. Wave 12 Ninja Viper = new figure/character. Yes, he's Storm Shadow repainted, but all the ninjas have the same basic costume. Wave 12 PPCG = old character in a new costume. It's a new figure because it's completely different in color scheme. This Wave 13 Firefly isn't very new because he's once again a shade of gray, wearing the same costume design, and doesn't have anything going on that we haven't seen before. |

Totally a repaint. I was just evaluating this on my own when I then stumpled upon this thread. I say REPAINT all the way. A cool color scheme but a repaint. I say it looks like shockwave if we didn't already have on coming out.

To me is just a freaking repaint with access from the comic pack. Glad I decided to pick up another Firefly on white card.

Another perspective is this...
Matt Traker = new figure, nothinh about him has been seen before until his figure came out. New helm, new body armor, new web gear harness thingy, new head, new card and so forth. Firefly is a just a simple remake and mesh of exisitng parts so he is in no way new to the fact that he is made up of exisitng parts, nothing new in that package. We all can make 90 variations on this firelfy and he can make 900 other chacters with his parts. New molded figures would be in my opinion the only thing I would ever conisder new. Like new Quick Kick with a better sculpted head would be a newer version of the old one with the jackie chan head. That is how I see it. Compeltly kitbashing multiple figures to create a new figure is also what we see a lot of here, they are also new names of unsued characters as well so since they have never existed they are new, not remakes with different paint applications and have different names. If this had been a joe named "Firefox" and make him a greasemonkey that fixes what Firefly blows up maybe he could be new at that point... |

4 pages!? (I have my setting set to allow the most posts per page so I know it's more than 4 pages for others) Really, 4 pages of this? It's Thanksgiving, did you all finish eating and have nothing to do?
Like a few others have said, it's a repaint and a new version. Much in the same way Python Patrol, Tiger Force and Night Force are all repaints, but new versions of said figures. You're both right .....Aww crap! I just contributed to the madness |
