How deep does the obsession for GIJoes run for you? How often do you buy? Do you buy everything that comes out? Do you have a room dedicated for GIJoes? Do you troop build? Do you spend hours setting up scenes? Do you spend hours customizing? Do you play with them before you go to sleep? Do you wonder around with GIJoes in your pocket at all times? Dream about em? Spend hours on the Tank? Lets hear it! How addicted are you and in what ways?


As for me I play with them every night. I have created my own blog about them. If I buy a new ARAH Joe I might carry them in my pocket for a few days. I dont buy all the Joes that come out but only because I dont have enough money. I spend more money on Joes than I do gas. I have in the past spent hours doing customizing. Mostly I just totally enjoy playing out story lines with them before I go to bed or sometimes even mid day.

I have found myself only shopping for other things I need if I can buy a new Joe item I don't have. And run out a lot of gas to find them. I need help. Is there rehab for this?

dont play with em cuz i lost that part of my brain that says (make pretend all the time) set em up often cant ever leave em in the same dio for more than a few days at a time and get mad when all of them are not being displayed , constantly arguing because a spend more time with 3 3/4 inch plastic toys than doing anything else , dreamt of them before well really just dreamt that i copped a terror-drome but that still counts,
and i am enjoying the crap out of it i would have it no other way open em all sell none unless you get something you wanted in return .

How deep does the obsession for GIJoes run for you?

I drive all around town looking for them when gas is outrageous. I have based my last two school projects around them as well as my Halloween costume which turned into a whole production on campus too.

How often do you buy?

Whenever I find something new... and when I don't I have to hold myself back from buying something I already have just because it's cool (like the 3rd armored Cobra Commander I bought just so I could have him on display with the helmet off).

Do you buy everything that comes out?

Actually, no. I will not buy Ninja-Ku, nor will I buy most of wave 12.

Do you have a room dedicated for GIJoes?

Kind of... the Joes share space with everything else in the room though they are starting to take over.

In my design studio they take up most the space. In fact, I find my work area steadily shrinking.

Do you troop build?

To some extent, but nowhere near as bad as others.

Do you spend hours setting up scenes?

Yeah... I do...

Do you spend hours customizing?

Yeah... and I usually do two at a time. I'll actually be posting a couple of new ones soon (DD style Shipwreck & ARAH style Ripcord).

Do you play with them before you go to sleep?

No. Though when I get a new plane/helicopter I 'fly it' around the living room a couple of times before it finds it's resting place in my room. It makes my wife smile instead of roll her eyes.

Do you wonder around with GIJoes in your pocket at all times?

No... uh... sometimes... I do have a Snake Eyes hanging from my rearview mirror at all times (in the Silent Interlude cover pose) does that count?

Dream about em?

Yes! I have had dreams where I walk into a store and find peg hooks full of vintage figures, all MOC, all graded 10's.

What's the verdict, am I hopeless?

Hi, my name is Troy and i'm a joeholic.

I was in recovery for a long time, almost 20 years "sober", then I happened upon the 25th anniversary line and fell off the wagon.

I try to get most of what comes out. I open 'em and will sometimes get extras of certain ones I want to keep carded or boxed. I try to troop build, but keep it small (6 max) because of space.

I create dioramas and scenes for my Joes (as well as written "Mission Reports" that detail the scene, as if that mission commander was writing a report to Hawk).

I'm going to start customizing soon.

I only really get ARAH, but do get some 25th style.. I only get them if I sell off a little of my collection I dont want anymore... So not to bad...

Only get what I like...

No room for them, just a couple shelves and box's....

Dont really set them up..... yet....

Doing Customs is fun!!! Since I'm an avid model car guy, it comes natural....

Hello.. I'm the &*^ Damn Batman (Keith). Yes I sit in my Batcave (shed) and look at all my Joes. I hunt for Joes like bounty hunters. I spend way over my means to get them when I find them. Do I have a problem? Am I over the edge? My Joes are displayed in many places in my Batcave and Computer room. My Wife (Catwoman) says I need to seek help but I refuse. With all these billions of dollars I have stashed in Wayne Manner, why not spend countless dollars on plastic figures??
