My name is Lifeline, and I'm a Joeaholic.
First of all, I just have to say that I stumbled onto this post after just getting home from working with real addicts-talk about irony. I always thought I was the only one who walks around with Joes in his pocket. I do set up scenes with my figures, and create adventues/missions for them in my head. I customize some figures, particularly my namesake, who has been my favorite since he was introduced over 20 years ago. I shop for new figures almost every day, usually on my way home from work or school. I buy the majority of the figures, but I have refused to get Ninja Ju, Python officer, or the Tripwire/CC and Destro/Iron Grenadier packs. I hope to someday have a room dedicated to my collection. |

My name is Zartanman, (Jeremy) and I am a Joeholic. I slipped off the wagon a couple months ago after trying foolishly to deny my self the 25th line for nearly a year.
Now I spend more time on the Tank than I do anywhere online. I've spent money on them instead of doing normal things like the movies or going out with friends. Who needs friends when I have my Joes, and the tank of course. I customize, I troop build, I set up dioramas and occasionally I make little noises as I play with them. I rewatch the cartoons and I dream about finding the Ultimate stash in some old country store with all the original prices. I've had that dream since I was a kid. I also have the G.I. Joe soundtrack from the cartoons stuck in my head a hell of a lot more than I'd like to admit and it drives me nuts that no body sells the soundtrack. If you pour out a pile of original joes and a pile of weapons I can from memory put them all together the way they were originally. I can't remember what I had for lunch two days ago but I know every single Joe's name and what weapons they come with. Soon I will have my Toy empire and a huge room to display them all in, maybe I can turn it into a museum some day.. and then.. I shall Rule the world.. . MUUUAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!... (CC Impersonation)

My name is Evopete (Peter) and I am a Joeholic.... I spend way tooo much money on Triple of a figure that I dont even need, just glad that I found it at retail....then wonder "I dont need this." but never have the heart to take it back... I have a car port, under my bed, most of my personal Closet, and to Display cases full of Joes.....My wife gives me the stare any time something new arrives.......and I just gave my best friends over 300 dollars of Carded Joes, comic packs, and some loose vehicals, and I still have way too much..... I have way to many extras of everything, but I cant get rid of them...it was hard giving my best friend all the those Joes, but he was the one who started it all for me as a Kid...and when he saw them for the first time last week..... it blew his mind, and two 29 year olds wereplaying JOes in the living room just like we did 20 years ago.....It was worth the 300 and giving them to a friend and future hisstank member... ;)
