First off How many of you Naysayers work for Extensive Enterprises? Talking about the worth of our Real American Hero like the line is a group of real estate slots, for Shame, these toys, or collectables represent the timeless battle between good and evil, as a father of 2 boys I've found that mny toys are fads such as pokemon, or power rangers, but it's the real toys with real enimies such as the Galactic Empire, or Decipticons, or in our case Cobra Command! We all have our stories on our views of if these figures will be worth something 20+ years from now, I say ONLY IF YOU OPEN THEM AND MAKE SOME MEMORIES WITH THEM!!!!! I say that because some of my best childhood memories involve the epic backyard battles between my friends and myself with our G.I.JOE'S it's those memories that are the real worth and if my children get as much play out of these as I did, you can't put any price on it, monetary values for shame, go pack your CG outfits and go back to XAMOT and tell him I said the following "Never Let The Enemy Eat Your Breakfast, YO-JOE!!!!

Well said. Those were the days...backyard battles with the neighborhood kids. Good times...good times. Now...I make new memories having backyard battles, conquering the couch battles, etc with my son. Better times...much better times. Great thing about it...the fun doesn't end cause he has to go home. He is home...so the fun continues. My son is the real reason I got into customizing. He brought my imagination back...I didn't see joe items on the shelves, but he seen things that if painted...would be. I'm glad he showed me what its like to dream again. I have yet to sell a joe item that wasn't purchased just for a friend. Hell...I'm sitting on piles of stuff here, joe and knock off...that when I want to trade it...my son reminds me of what it could become and thus it sits here in wait of customizing. lol

See....another thing great about collecting with your son is: variant...shmariant.
He can give a rats ass if stalker is yellow....as can I. :lol From the start.....we collect what we like...and buy what we see potential in. So....to some a corps humvee may be crap.....but through a child's eyes....its worthwhile once customized.

Once the movie gets closer, expect alot of promotion and push from Paramount and Hasbro, and I bet Joes go big again. I also think you capitalize far too often. ;)
im with you on this my man you hit it on the head. |

Well, I'm perfectly content to collect a few variants here and there and remain childfree.

I'm a big fan of opening my toys since growing up with vintage old 12" joes, star wars figs, g.i.*joe rah, and so many other lines of action figures I don't really care for moc. The investment part doesn't really mean anything unless you find a person who must pay a crazy price for these toys and you make a killing selling a flint for $75.00 - that I saw it on ebay and laughed so hard I nearly lost my liquid...LMAO..sorry give me a minute...to continue.
Well this stuff ever end...someday, sometime it well and then start over again as long as their are fans of the product from all generations. let's just all enjoy. 'nuff said.

I've said it before......can you breathe under plastic??
Open 'em up and play with 'em!! On a side note, I was in the grocery store recently....waiting in the dreaded 'Deli Dept', (tip-grab your #, check what's posted, and then go get some of your other shopping done-just remember to come back in time!).....anyway.....there was a little kid standing there with his mom.....he had taken about 15 twist ties and worked them together.....and attached them to the arm of his Cobra Commander.......and was having a grand ol' time playing with him...... Made me smile, and shed a tear........the line will continue in one way or another....
