Wait when did Zarana and Zandar become important characters? The only time Zarana did anything other than "Lead the dreadnoks" was when she was CC's replacement Baroness

Zarana was in almost every episode of season 2 G.I.Joe animated, and she ws in like issue 65 to 118 of Marvel comics plus numerous devils due publishings, she's important, trust me dude. We need at least a zarana. I could give a rat's ass about zandar, he spoke nothing, did nothing, and is nothing in my book.

Guys, I know it's easy to let the past be viewed through rose colored lenses, but these were both peg-warmers back in the day. While there may be marginally more interest in them now (I'd personally like to see them, but in updated designs) they would end up being just as much the peg-warmers today as Buzzer and the Ripper/Torch two-packs have been and the Zarana/Gung Ho 2 pack was in Spytroops. It makes a great deal more sense fiscally to keep the shelves full of "first-stringers" than second and third tier characters that Joe freaks like me would be interested in. It's a hard fact, but one you will eventually learn.

On the contrary it's more like pegwarming Dukes, Snake Eyes, Cobra Commanders, Urban Roadblocks, Blue Baronesses, Vipers, and Wild Bills - there's your first-strigger pegwarmers right there. You can't blame Buzzer for everything. They can't produce key characters like Zarana and Zandar, but they can sure waste plastic on the likes of HISS Commander, Matt Trakker, Cobra Flint, Para Viper, Air Viper, endless Cobra Troopers in all rainbow colours, and of course the usual Duke/SE/CC spots in each wave. Somwhere Buzzer is shedding a tear.

Zarana is an important key character in the GI Joe universe.
She is a MUST to have in the new 25th / modern era line. I have my hopes up she'll be released after the movie line. Buzzer isn't exactly an accurate updated version of the vintage version. There shouldn't be an influence on the sales of that. The Ripper & Torch Comic packs were very high in demand and hard to find when they were first released. |

Maybe Zarana and her brother were cool in the 80's with their Duran Duran hair and glam rock outfits..... but do you really think they would make a cool figure now? I would have no desire for a pink hair flammer in my collection.

Yes I think they are cool with their 80's Duran Duran hair and glam rock outfits
Why? Because that's how they are suppose to look!!! And that's what this new GI Joe line is all about; The classic 80's vintage figures redone with modern updated sculpts in their classic uniform & outfit colors |
