I voted yes, but I'd like to know if this is a serious question, like, is Hasbro "discretely" looking for interest?

I would think that Revoltech would be more interested in this thread but no, this is just something we are going to start doing on Friday Nights, kinda like the issue/poll of the week, something for us fans to talk about.

I'd only get a Revoltech Snake-Eyes, but to be honest, I'd really like Hasbro to just give their 9cm figs Microman-like articulation when it wouldn't interfere with the sculpt.

I really wouldn't mind them making this like a premium that you can get from HTS or a store exclusive or something like that.

I had no clue these even existed. The clear one looks to be the cleanest version they have so you can turn it into whatever you want, almost like a blank.

One thing I feel I should mention as someone who owns quite a few Revoltech figures is that while they are great at pulling off dynamic and incredible poses they can't pull off more normal poses like standing straight and pointing a weapon. My Revoltech Macross VFs all suffer from non symmetrical leg and chest articulation while my Revoltech Hot Rod comes with not one but two heads molded with a slight tilt to them. While removing and repositioning the joints fixes some of the problems I've never liked the idea of having to take apart a $30 figures. You'll get a Snake Eyes who can stand on one hand upside down but just won't look right standing at attention.

No, but sort of yes.
I'd be happy to spend that kind of money on a product that had significantly better articulation and overall production values, but I don't particularly like revoltechs. It depends mostly on what you're after; I rate playability pretty highly, so I'm not after something that, while it can look good in a number of stances etc, isn't fun to muck about with. I find the revoltch joints really fiddly, and un-intuitive, and that's the main thing that puts me off them. Also, I'm not really a fan of the style they go for (the exaggerated proportions etc), and I think that there are better ways of getting good, usable, articulation to blend in with the sculpt. Some revoltechs are very good at blending the articulation in with the sculpt. some aren't so good. Also, I don't think they're that much of an improvement over the current joes; they're are pretty close to what I'd consider an ideal sculpt/articulation/playability mix. Comparing them to micromen (like the batman people mentioned), they'e a lot sturdier (partly due to the articulation being condensed into fewer joints) and better looking for example. There definately are improvements I'd love to see though; I'd (very much) like to see a greater range of motion in the: chest (to get better crouching stances); neck (specifically a better ability to look up and down); elbows, I'd prefer a greater range of motion that still included the swivel instead of a double joint; shoulders/chest; not a new joint, but more clearance around this area to allow them to cross their arms across the body more; wrists, specifically a ball-joint type of motion, like the current ankle design. Combined with improved elbow and shoulder range this would enable a vast amount of improvement to two handed poses etc. If they could do it without detracting from the sculpt too much, it'd be good to add a joint that would enable them to cross their legs, but I'd rather it stay as it currently is if it was going to mean they'd have ball joint hips or something, it's not a huge issue for me. On top of this, better paint apps (though that's not something I'm really bothered about) and gear would be great. I love working holsters/ backpacks with gear that can be removed and removable webgear, and it would be great to see more of this, though it's already at a great standard in most cases. So would I pay that kind of money for a figure which has the articulation additions etc I mention above? Yes. Would I pay the same for a revoltech figure? No. |

Revoltech is terrible. Theyre like go bots, a cheap knockoff that costs the same as the good stuff. If this was 'should there be figma gi joes' I would of voted yes, but not revoltech.

I'm saying "yes" to this, I like the Revoltech figure I have (Tetsujin 28), but I wouldn't want them to be too stylized. THey could easily have too much of a Sigma 6 vibe. If the designs adhere to the classic look, bring 'em on.

I prefer Figma; the quality of the non robot looking Revoltech figures aren't too good IMO. But since Snake Eyes kind of looks like a robot he might make a good match for any future Revoltech designs.
