This has probably been mentioned before, but both Robo-JOE and Lifeline (v5) share the name "Greg Scott." However, they have different ranks and different birth places.

Oh, and I just discovered something else (You all have probably already discussed this a million pages ago): Blast-Off is a flamethrower trooper and a fireman. I think we all agreed that he was a Marine (a "Mega-Marine"). So, maybe he could be useful aboard the U.S.S. Flagg when he isn't off burning up monsters? Like a Navy Damage Controlman?

Are there any other firefighters on the JOE team, or is that it?

Fireguard and Bonfire are Barbecue and Marauders Barbecue.
Fireguard Guess what Fireguard loved to do as a child? Light matches! “You will end up setting fire to the house, boy!” said his father. “I'll be a fire-fighter!” was what the boy said. Grew up to be a fireman and appeared in all the papers for saving a baby from a burning building. Famous, Fireguard was called to integrate into the Commandos and cut the cost of Cobras! “Our friend Fireguard and fire!” is what the Commandos say! Bonfire Among the children’s toys, fire engines were the favourites of Bonfire. He always thought the sound of sirens and the courage of the fire-fighters was fantastic. So much so that, for him, the more fuel to the fire, the better. It is not for nothing that Bonfire was soon in command of the fire-fighters for the Commandos. Worse for the Cobras, because after Bonfire passes are that is left over is ashes. |

Yeah. I remember when we translated a bunch of those old Brazilian Joes. That was fun. Some of them were really inventive.

So trying to figure out a role for my mobility/armor/heavy weapons Joes in my take on the team (counter proliferation). My Sabre Squadrons are going to have 16-18 man Troops (four man HQ and either three teams of four or two 5-man assault teams and a four-man sniper/recce team). I am thinking with a mission type of counter proliferation that the Joes would need a good Mobility section for coming in after the Sabre Squadrons have cleared a building of bad guys and transporting huge caches of weapons (such as missiles, warheads, etc). I was thinking of having a dedicated Mobility Squadron for such a purpose. Further, I was also thinking of breaking it down into different sections, such as Transport, Assault, Reconnaissance, and Sapper.
The Assault section would employ three-man teams in some sort of vehicle such as a Stryker and each one would be armed with either a .50 caliber machine gun, TOW or a automatic grenade launcher. The Transport section would employ trucks to haul the weapons captured from rogue states/terrorists, and the Reconnaissance Section would equipped with light vehicles (such as a Humvee) and also employ the three aforementioned weapons. The Sapper section would be Combat Engineers to assist with route clearance and such. A Troop within a Sabre Squadron designated as a "Mobility Troop" might work but I figured with the mission type that a dedicated Squadron with more personnel and vehicles would be a better fit. Thoughts? Last edited by john shaft; 07-03-2019 at 08:46 AM.. |

I've got a question. If Sightline is a JTAC (Joint Terminal Attack Controller) is he Airforce, Marines or Army? His secondary specialty is Infantry.
See the original file card here under Post #17: http://www.hisstank.com/forum/g-i-jo...ssified-2.html The "secondary" file card is at YoJoe.com, though that version is considered to be the official "Sightline v.1". Last edited by seaneley; 07-03-2019 at 01:44 PM.. |
