YOJOE.COM | G.I.Joe Action Figure Archive - Subteams - G.I.Joe Gung-Ho is the Commander. Then I divide my Steel Brigade into 3 parts: Airborne, Marines, Commandos Airborne: Convention Steel Brigade Figures Dragonsky is also a member, and I use him as a team leader. The Steel Brigade Commander (Gold Helmet) is another one I use as a team leader - and I'm considering getting a second Steel Brigade Commander to use as a 3rd team leader. Each Team has about 7 (Convention Special) Airborne Steel Brigade Troopers - so with a team leader, it's 8 in each team. Marines: 6-pack & TRU Hulk I have 2 custom 25th Steel Brigade figures from DOC - one gold helmet (commander) and one silver helmet. Checkpoint (Team Leader) - 6 Tunnel Clash Hulk Figures Red Zone (Team Leader) - 6 Tunnel Clash Hulk Figures Rook (Team Leader) - 6 Tunnel Clash Hulk Figures Custom Silver helmet 25th figure (Team Leader) 6 Tunnel Clash Hulk Figures. Commandos: PIT Commandos Wal-Mart RoC Gung-Ho: Team Leader Sgt. Stone - Assistant Team Leader 12 PIT Commandos So Gung-Ho is the overall commander (per his convention special file card) and he can work directly with the any of the groups - in particular the Airborne and Commandos because he has uniforms for those... oddly enough, he doesn't have a uniform that fits the Marines exactly, but that's because they're Hulk figures, and not really Joe figures.

My Steel Brigade is my urban combat unit, specifically trained for major city conflicts. They are trained for street to street combat, sky scraper to sky scraper insertions, etc...
The Joe SWAT unit is attached to the Steel Brigade, but able to operate independantly as required. I dont' have any of the original SB figures, so I'm using the Hulkbuster figures as my Steel Brigade. Still working it out how big and who commands, etc..

Yeah, my Steel Brigade is my Urban warfare specialist team. Although if I needed them to reinforce my other Joes, they are certainly mission capable. My Steel Brigade Marines handle ports/harbors/amphibious-based assaults. Airborne Steel Brigade handle invading Power Stations and Air Fields in a city. The Commando team run CQB and HRT missions.
So I now use my SWAT Team with the rest of my Joe team to conduct SWAT operations in other Areas of Operation that the Joes might be working in... for example, if there's a Jungle village that needs raiding, or a town in Afghanistan. SWAT handles that. I used to use them just like you use yours, but sine I've got the PIT Commando Team, I reassigned them.

If you'll check YoJoe.com, Steel Brigade is it's own sub-team:
YOJOE.COM | G.I.Joe Action Figure Archive - Subteams - G.I.Joe Checkpoint (Team Leader) - 6 Tunnel Clash Hulk Figures Red Zone (Team Leader) - 6 Tunnel Clash Hulk Figures Rook (Team Leader) - 6 Tunnel Clash Hulk Figures Custom Silver helmet 25th figure (Team Leader) 6 Tunnel Clash Hulk Figures. I hadn't seen these Tunnel Clash figures before but they LOOK like Steel Brigade. Are they O-ring by any chance? Who's in your SWAT unit and how many of these Hulkbuster figures are there? I like the one with M82 Sniper Rifle--very nice--but they look like they fall apart easily like those 21st Century/BBI figures. |

They're the new sculpt style of Joe. 3 to a pack. I have 6 total.

Nice setup, Oliver. I'm tempted now to get the gold-headed SB and some others.

I think the SWAT unit Troynos is talking about is the Convention Special SWAT team from 2008. Shockblast, Low-Light, Long Arm, and Bull Horn. The Hulkbuster figures - there are a few different types, but the Tunnel Clash TRU figures are the only ones that really work with Steel Brigade. The other figures aren't bad - I use them as CIA/SAD. Sort of another Government group for the Joes to work/coordinate with.

You know, that's one sub-team that I really liked seeing in ARAH o-ring style--the convention SWAT. Low-light, Shockwave, Bullhorn and Long Arm are some of my favorites. I wouldn't mind seeing another subset with "greenshirt" or generic SWAT troopers all using Shockwave's head but perhaps different torsos and legs. They could repaint them dark blue and maybe make one new head for an unmasked version of Shockwave with just the ballcap.

That's actually a completely different quiz. But thanks for sharing that one with us. It's pretty neat. I just took it and came out as a Navy SEAL.
