That's the first I've seen of that wave so I assume more is coming. I bet there is more in the back because it looked like only one case. Someone probably asked for the case and took out Kamakura and Red Fang. They didn't even ring up, the girl had to type in a special code. Hopefully this won't be a short wave.

You gotta keep your file cards in your desk drawer so you have easy access to all that useless information.

I've been reading a lot of interviews with Hama and was wondering when he stopped writing the file cards. Did we ever establish this? I know that he once said that he was temporarily "fired" once but returned a year later to write. He also said he didn't remember writing Claymore's file card, but does that mean his hiatus was in 1986? I would have thought that he wrote the cards for Beach and Dial-Tone, etc, but then what year didn't he write and when did he finally stop writing after he returned?

I think Claymore may have been the exception because that box set wasn't part of the main line. I had never even heard of it until started hanging out here.
So he probably was still writing 'em in 86. Definately wasn't him during the BattleCorps,DEF and so on. So that was probably when he stopped.

Well after 1991, they drastically changed the file card format and things really went down hill. So maybe it was 91, but the Marvel series ended 3 years later in 94 so he could have been around, but it seems unlikely.

91 sounds like the year, cause after that the cards changed really bad.
What year was Backstop? That was kind of a bad card. Wasn't Recoil and Ambush the same years?

Ambush, Pathfinder and guys like Rampart were 1990. Recoil was 89. He may have left earlier around 88 because the 89 Rock N Roll just doesn't read like his work.

They ought to let us write some of the new file cards... these ROC figures need help. Seriously, I bet Hasbro is aware of this thread by now. I wouldn't be surprised if Larry Hama had checked us out by now.
I can see it now, Troynos gets a PM and is asked to get all the regulars from this thread to come to JoeCon in RI... then we're invited to lunch with some guys from Hasbro and asked to fix the file card situation. I know it would be a dream come true, but we would have a hard time stopping at just the file cards... "Um, excuse me, are you the guys who design the figures? Yeah, we were wondering about an updated Sky Patrol and about fixing the Mega Marines. Can we see the specs for the new stuff y'all are thinking about? Yeah, we've got a few ideas about this stuff... And y'all should really talk with Marine Deadpool about camo. That would help." We'd be fired in a week.
