Well, I don't know about a whole, separate SAS team. It's been enough of a struggle to get through this ODA Team. Stalker is already a member.
The Roster is... Claymore Falcon Flint Duke Beach-Head Snake-Eyes Kamakura Stalker Outback Recondo Big Brawler Drop Zone Low-Light I'm just suggesting Big Ben and Skymate as International members of the Team. I'm not trying to include the members of Action Force. Big Ben and Skymate are Joes.

Who does serve as the Combat Controller? Or do you not have that role on the ODA team?
Go ahead and include Big Ben and Skymate, those are good choices. Xsoldier, thanks, that's pretty interesting stuff.

Well, that's a good question, but I don't know how they would look with one of the newer shields... the old Super Trooper shield might actually look more in keeping with the "high tech" look of the new suits.
I'm almost of the opinion that the Armour itself renders the shield unnecessary. I don't know yet, but here's what I'm thinking... 1. Delta-6 Accelerator Suit: Rip Cord (Head Swap) - DeNiro 2. Delta-6 Accelerator Suit: Speed Metal (Head Swap) - Lattimer 3. Delta-6 Accelerator Suit: Duke (Repaint the silver portions to metallic green and head swap) - London/Rapid Fire 4. Delta-6 Accelerator Suit: Speed Metal - New Character 5. Upcoming Delta-6 Accelerator Flight Suit w/ Rip Cord - New Character (need code name) Now that you mention it, I will probably give DeNiro, Lattimer, and maybe Speed Metal each a shield. London/Rapid Fire never had a sheild to begin with, and by using Duke's Accelerator Suit, he'll have the arm cannon... because Rapid Fire was a Ordinance Specialist on his original File Card. So he'll have the cannon instead of a shield. The flying Armour trooper will not have a shield. His mission is different. How does this set up sound to y'all? |

I forgot to add Sabertooth to the Roster, he'll be added when City Strike Beach-Head comes out next year. That'll bring the ODA Team roster up to 14, and the SAS guys will make it 16 total... that's a pretty cool sub-team. I can't wait till Marine Deadpool can post pics. Hopefully by the Spring.

Thanks man. After reviewing the photos, I don't think the Rip Cord with the Jet Pack is wearing an Accelerator Suit, but the Motor Cycle Trooper is... so I might change out that position on this roster.

I think the Jet Pack Rip Cord is in a modified suit, for flight, I'm pretty sure it is called a Delta-6 suit.

Thanks Xsoldier for the update, that's very interesting .
Oliver both Big Ben and Sky Mate would be great additions to your Custom ODA Team, their both super qualified. Can't wait to see the camo pattern Marine Deadpool paints for them. |

Okay, here is the skinny on what the US army does for Artic Airbourne insertion.
It is handled by the SF primarily. Both 1st Group and 10th Group are trained for jumps in blizzard like conditions and extreme cold weather. There is also one airbourne infantry unit in Alaska that is trained for the mission as well. They actually don't have much special gear for the mission either. They caculate windspeed and other factors for figuring the point at which they jump. The 18D that I spoke with said they pretty much shop at RFI with the unit credit card for snivle gear, because other than some of the neoprene, the army's cold weather issue is inadequate. I asked about the extreme cold and what they did for that and his comment was try not to pee your self and that they use the hand warmers from any sporting goods/outdoor store in their boots and gloves. He said that you do fall faster in cold weather. Main concerns for training are similar to those of jumpin in the rain. Parachuttes getting wet can not be re-used until they have adequately been dried, and there aren't that many places you can dry a parachute. So the maintanence of the shutes is a priority. They are usually dropped with limited equipment like snow mobiles (no guns on them either...no polar battle bear i guess) They have skis, ski poles, and snowshoes as well as Ice climbing gear. He said the misions are usually quiet, because the first couple hours are spent acclimating and getting warmed up from the jump, but it isn't a concern because bad guys get cold too. |

I know! I sent him a message to ask if he could do a British DPM... I'm really excited to see what he comes up with. That man is a genius with camo.
