Hey guys, another tanker asked me this question:
Is there a specific unit of para-troopers for arctic conditions? Specific way they are outfitted or a specific troop and training conditions?

Are you guys who're using the accelerator suits for the super troopers outfitting them with the shields? It seems that either the PIT Commando's riot shield or the one that's coming with the five-pack Law might work for that.

Well, Snow Serpents are jump-qualified, so I assume they'd handle polar airborne assaults, and since they're ex-eels, they could also insert themselves in frigid waters.

I know the SEaLs have a arctic-specific team, Team Two.

If any Army unit is scheduled to deploy to an arctic/polar/alpine region though, its personnel can be sent to receive basic arctic individual training and cold weather survival instruction at the Army's Northern Warfare Training Center in Alaska or the USMC's Mountain Warfare Training Center in California, all at the operational commander's discretion, of course (and budget allowing). SEAL Team Two used to be the only NAVSPECWAR unit with mandated arctic-specific training, but as of last year, all new SEALs will have to take the 28 day long arctic training course in Detachment Kodiak up in Alaska. I think SEAL Team Two is sort of the "first choice" for arctic and sub-arctic operations, but only until the rest of the SEAL teams go through Detachment Kodiak training. |

Its alot better than having a chrome vest and shield. I like the concept of the robo-suits. Just have to find a designated pilot for them.

Soon as I get him he'll be part of that team. I need to rename Ripcord and Duke when I get them. I figure I'll just keep their helmets on. Awesome idea Fogger. Awesome. I need two more PIT Commandos. |

I'm almost of the opinion that the Armour itself renders the shield unnecessary. I don't know yet, but here's what I'm thinking... 1. Delta-6 Accelerator Suit: Rip Cord (Head Swap) - DeNiro 2. Delta-6 Accelerator Suit: Speed Metal (Head Swap) - Lattimer 3. Delta-6 Accelerator Suit: Duke (Repaint the silver portions to metallic green and head swap) - London/Rapid Fire 4. Delta-6 Accelerator Suit: Speed Metal - New Character 5. Upcoming Delta-6 Accelerator Flight Suit w/ Rip Cord - New Character (need code name) Now that you mention it, I will probably give DeNiro, Lattimer, and maybe Speed Metal each a shield. London/Rapid Fire never had a sheild to begin with, and by using Duke's Accelerator Suit, he'll have the arm cannon... because Rapid Fire was a Ordinance Specialist on his original File Card. So he'll have the cannon instead of a shield. The flying Armour trooper will not have a shield. His mission is different. How does this set up sound to y'all?
