And when are you going to join the dark side and become one with the 25th??
BTW Oliver, I hate you (kidding). Ever since I realized how bad my vintage collection is, I've been visiting ebay every day. And it's all your fault. Getting some really great deals though. Got an Airborne (to replace mine that had a broken crotch), Ripcord, Lowlight v2, Tiger Force Tripwire and waiting on hearing about 3-4 more. That's just EBay. TF Tripwire got for just $6 bucks (with shipping). The most expensive was Low-Light at $10 bucks (with shipping). Airborne was just $3 bucks (with shipping). CTG (the site sponsor), I got Repeater, Muskrat, Crankcase & Blizzard. As well as the DTC Footloose and Low-Light. It's all your fault...

You know what works for me; Calymore Headswap with Duke Version 8. Then you also have a perfectly good Head to create a custom figure with. I've made some pretty ugly/stupid custom characters over the years (I can't paint worth a damn) but this one looks good. Actually anyone looks good with that body and paint scheme.

Never considered this. Does the Duke helmet fit on Claymore's head?

It's good to know that Airborne gets the man-love. I always thought that he would make a good member of a special ops team because (I think) he is qualified to fly any kind of helicopter (he was on the original box art for the Dragonfly) and some fixed wing aircraft.
Where do you guys use Blowtorch, is he more of an EOD with Barbecue and Tripwire or is he more of a WWII-style engineer with a flamethrower on his back? I always thought that a good EOD/Bomb Disposal team or demo team would be: Blowtorch Barbecue Lightfoot - Robot operator Tripwire Tunnel Rat What do you guys think?

Loose Cannon-
I'm even disappointed they did not "tone down" Blowtorch's unform for something more modern and up to date or realistic - does this make Blowtorch, Barbecue, and Lightfoot front line EOD's or support rear guard staff?

I'd have been severely disspaointed if they'd "updated" Blowtorch.
Besides, that yellow and red is camoflauge. It's so you can't see him among all the Cobras he's set on fire. |

I think guys like Blowtorch and Charbroil belong on a Special Weapons Team. Lightfoot, Tripwire and Long Arm work well as an EOD Team. As for Barbecue and Airtight--they belong in some sort of Environmental Safety Unit for rare emergencies. All in all, these guys belong in rear support.
Tunnel Rat has EOD speciality, but needs to be in the field where this may be required, along with his other specialities. |
