Sounds awesome Troynos, I like the idea of the Red Fang Ninjas better. The Night Creepers always seemed more like bankers and computer geeks than ninjas and Serpentor seems more old school, less technology savvy.

With your society, you could always throw in a joe ancestor like the Flaggs or Abernathy's, people from 'old money'.

I was thinking of having the Jugglers be Society-Controled. But I like the idea of the Flagg family being part of it and Gen. Flagg is the first "rebel" from the Society (CC ending up being the 2nd), and he forms the Joe team knowing about the Society's ties to Cobra. Could really get in depth with this. Figure out some way to tie in Colton as well. Something I've been toying with, tossing around in the ol' noggin, is having George Washington and the rest of the Revolutionies being part of the Society.

Nice! sounds terrific and it dovetails nicely with many conspiracy theories arising from the war of independence. Very cool.

In Ambush`s,all three Filecards,he never made it pass being an E-3. In the G.I.Joe Battle Files,he was made an E-5. In Cover Girl`s Filecards, she was a E-4. In the Battle Files, she was made a E-5. Then Zulu up her to a E-6. In Ace`s Filecards, half the time he was either a O-3 or a O-4. In the Battle Files,he is a O-6. In most of his Filecards he is from Providence,Rhode Island,
except for one. That was when he was a Battle Copter Pilot and was from Seattle,Washington. While he was a Battle Copter Pilot he went through the Combined Services Escape & Evasion School. |

Poor Ambush, he always got the short end of it. Lowest ranking Joe.
I wish Hasbro had paid more attention to the rankings when they did all the designs, but Hama even said he never really paid much attention either.

Yeah. I'd heard bits and pieces of those, but mostly thought it would be a neat "twist" if the founding fathers belonged to the same group that formed Cobra.

I was at the library a few weeks ago and I checked out that book on Tiger Force which was definitely eye opening. For a 7 month span it was pretty incredible what they got away with and having no one get in trouble. But what I also checked out that was a pretty good read was First InAmazon.com: First In: An Insider's Account of How the CIA Spearheaded the War on Terror in Afghanistan (9780891418726): Gary Schroen: Books
It tells the Story of the CIA getting guys on the ground with in 2 weeks after 9/11. It's cool to see the guys that made up a 10 man team. These were the guys that had to lay the ground work to get the Green Berets on the ground. This was with the Northern Alliance before the Southern Afghans could get organized. But As how this ties into the Joes. You know how the Joes must have an External element that helps them with Intelligence. Just the way our Special Forces do today. These men were mostly SAD guys but some were in their 50's? They had a Team Leader who was more of the pencil pusher but had all the connections in that area and Spoke the Languages. Then the Deputy Team Leader who was from SAD and a former Green Beret. Then the Technical Operations guy who is in charge of Weapons and supplies Former SEAL A medic who is a former Green Beret Medic An Intelligence Gathering Operations Guy who is a Former Marine and speaks Russian Another Operations Guy who is much younger, not SAD but speaks the languages and is familiar with AfPak region A Communications guy who maintains all cables to HQ (They add a second Comm guy later so they don't work 24 hour shifts) 2 SAD Helicopter Pilots since they bring a old Soviet chopper to get around in. And a Helicopter mechanic. Later another CIA team comes in with the Green Berets team ODA-555 "Triple Nickle" Pretty good read and gives you a sense of what the SAD guys actually do. |
