I've been spending money, lol
The hard part is trying to decide if just RAH, Modern or combination of both. I'll probably do RAH and a Modern version as well. I think I'll combine Special Ops and Recon, as they would share alot of the same personal. The idea is that there could be multiple missions being run at the same time. |

You know, funny, the 25th line renewed my interest in the RAH line, especially since the 25th joes aren't as vehicle-compatible, and I started buying up ones I didn't have. Now I got a decent size collection. I mostly focus, though, on the ones that have a realistic look. I've passed on guys like Fast Draw and Scoop, but occassionally branch out and will buy guys like Hardball and Lightfoot.

Slightly off topic here, but thinking back to our earlier discussions about new convention figures, I think that a team of PJs would be a great idea. What joes would you like to see recast for this role. I think Lifeline would be perfect; he needs to be more active and have a cooler uniform. Hit N Run and Alpine come immediately to mind because of their rappelling and fastrope skills and mt. expertise. Hmmm...who else?
Also, what about uniforms? Should it be the desert tan with olive web gear or something new? Perhaps a gray & white camo scheme? Airborne - XO Lifeline Hit & Run Crazy Legs New uniforms and a fairly consistent color/camo pattern. Something multi-environmental would be the best.

However, if they're going to be USAF PJ's, I think they should all be new characters. And as far as uniforms go, I would like 2 Desert Camo, 2 Woodland Camo, 2 Urban/Night Camo. If you kept the harnesses and web gear matching, they would still look like a uniformed team, but you could even split them up for different missions if you wanted to. But it's your concept, what do you think?

Agreed, except there are pros and cons when it comes to durability. Broken o-rings are easily replaced, but broken crotches and thumbs are not. The 25th line fixed this but the softer plastic makes their grips wear out when holding weapons, and the new crotch makes it hard for them to sit in vehicles. There is much needed work in this area. Also, I don't like the new style of backpacks in the 25th line. The RAH packs are solid and better looking.

I'd be all for something like this: A 6-pack of PJ's

I like the idea of making a set of Joes that can perform the pararescue mission well not necessarily being pararescuemen. This would be a special mission team sent into enemy territory. They go in, find their men, and get out.
I'd include Crankcase in my group, in case they need to make a land based escape.

I wasn't even aware that there WERE international figures/characters until maybe a year ago. So no, I don't have any. :(
Me either, man, I feel your pain. I thought I'd chime in briefly as to the whole organization/team thing - I bought very few of the subteams when I was growing up, and then it was mostly to replace a figure or vehicle that had broken (Flint, for instance). I never really divided my Joes into subteams on anything other than a mission-specific basis (that's what they did in the comics, and I used those as my model). So basically I think it's interesting what you guys do and cool as something to think about in the future, but I don't really have much to contribute. |

Hit & Run, Falcon, Airborne, Tunnel Rat and Alpine were always in use.
