Glad you like them C.I.A.D. By the end of the month, I hope to collect everything I've done (the filecards, the composite/airbrushed photos, text pieces, organizational diagrams, etc.) into a printable PDF file that people can reference, for recreational reading, or to use as a blueprint for their custom figures or "Joe-verses."
Let me know when you do, man...that has FP written all over it! |

Love em Zulu. Don't wanna mess with Taurus. I just went back to check out the org Chart, which I missed from a couple of days ago. I'm realizing you only have a week left with what's left. Many if them my holy grail, Sky Patrol. Can't wait.

I wonder why Steeler, Clutch, Grand Slam and Snakes Eyes were excluded?
As far as file cards go this is the highest we ever got for the 13 SE=E-8 Clutch=E-4 Steeler=0-1 Grand Slam=E-5 Hawk=0-8 (Although his last pre 25th figure has 3 stars on his lid) Scarlett=E-6 (W-3 to me now Zulu) Stalker=E-8 Rock'n'Roll=E-9 Zap=E-7 Short-Fuze=E-5 Breaker=E-5 Grunt=E-6 Flash E-5 (on ROC finally) As for file cards, don't forget the convention 07 figures: Clutch is an E5 Steeler is an O2 Flash is E5 |

I think those guys didn't get promoted because there were figures of them comng? Maybe? I don't know.. I don't think there ended up being figures of those guys right around that time but maybe there had been some planned and the other guys were getting "retired".

You mean new figures or replacements? This all occurred in issue 33.

Was it really that early in the run?
I thought at the time that the Joes being "promoted" were getting "retired" and replaced with new figures, so this was the comic way of taking 'em out of action. Rock 'n Roll - Repeater Scarlett - Lady Jaye Short Fuze - Downtown etc..

You know, the question I wished we would have asked Hama is How big was GI Joe supposed to be? A battalion? A brigade? Or just a company with Duke as 1st Sgt and Hawk as a high-ranking company commander?

Colonels typically command brigades, which would make GI Joe huge, but perhaps the "named" Joes only make up one company and the rest of the companies are greenshirts.
In order to incorporate armor and air support into my joeverse I've been thinking about using and modifying the new Infantry Brigade Combat Team. |

The IBCT consists of two infantry battalions, a cavalry squadron (recon/surveillance), a field artillery battalion, a special troops battalion (Mil Police, CBRN, Mil Intel, Combat Engineers, Signal Units), and a support battalion. An aviation brigade will provide CAS and transportation.
