New stuff (diverged from the organizational document a bit with these two):
Rampage & Wreckage Design notes: - This version of Rampage is based on Rampage v2, and not on the Heavy Metal repaint released in 1985. I also went with the unmasked, black-clad depiction on the card art as the basis for the composite photo, and not the re-coloured Beach Head which was the actual toy. Rampage v2's name and birthplace were actually based on comic book artist Walter McDaniel's (now living in Hong Kong, last I heard). I went a bit further and based his post-secondary education info on McDaniel's as well. - Scanning the organizational document, I realized that I never replaced Tunnel Rat's position as an EOD NCO when I moved him to the Direct Action Element. Wreckage fit the bill specialty-wise, and he's also one of the few Hispanic/Latino Joes (the Hispanic/Latino population is severely under-represented in the Joe team -- actual demographic data shows that Hispanic/Latino operatives are the largest visible/cultural/linguistic minority in the USSOCOM community). Wreckage is a straight up reinterpretation of the original figure. Only real change I incorporated was to specify his branch of service as Air Force, mostly just so it coordinates with his tiger striped uniform. I also noticed in his original filecard that he's an OPFOR operative, and I figured that making him Air Force would be a good rationalization, since the Air Force does have a permanent, full-time OPFOR unit assigned to the 1st Special Operations Wing. I'm also thinking of making Sabretooth as an "Easter Egg" character. Feel free to click on the Filecard Project link in my signature to read the full filecards. |

Off-topic for those who don't browse the rest of the site: I hope everyone got their 7-pack orders in - BBTS and SmallJoes have 'em but they're going fast...

Got 1 of each. Have 'em on preorder at Toyrocket as well. Decided that I'm not troop building, don't have the money. So just want 1 MOC and 1 to open of each.
May try and get some extras of the Night Creeper, but that would probably be about it.

Nice Zulu. I love when these guys show up. Rampage is basically who I'll rename my movie Ripcord after. He looks great.
Wreckage is Awesome too. I never really thought about him being Latino, but with a name like Moreno. I hadn't noticed the Suicide Bomber mitigation Course before. Did you use that with the other EOD guys? Also what is the Phoenix Raven Program? |

I know of at least two guys who'll be selling off extra Night Creepers, so you probably won't have too hard of a time finding them.

It's a Military Airlift Command program tailored specifically for USAF Security Forces, its main purpose being to train security personnel in advanced anti-terrorism in support of airlift missions and airfield defense. It's not exactly special operations forces-equivalent... it's somewhat functionally similar to the USMC's FAST (Fleet Anti-terrorism Security Team) program. |

I bet there will be a lot of wheeling and dealing with unwanted figures. Although I bet Alley-Vipers and Range Vipers may be the hardest to army build. Mindbenders I imagine will be for free within 2 weeks of delivery. I was about to buy some from China off ebay this morning. Glad I didn't. It took about 4.5 hours for BBTS to sell out of the Cobra packs. They must of had at least 500 maybe 1000? They still have 10pack cases and lots of the combo packs. I wonder when they will break those 10 pack cases up? Still SmallJoes and Toywiz and EE should be getting theirs as well.

Yeah, I plan on giving away my Mindbenders - my nephew gets one and the other two will be up for grabs (although I have a guy who was interested already back in February or so).
