Oh yeah, I forgot about Blizzard. I'm thinking of "Navy-fying" at least another one of the arctic guys... I've always wanted one of the Joes to be from the SEALs Kodiak detachment (those guys live and train in arctic conditions 8 months a year, and are something like Cobra Snow Serpents in that they're combat divers who've specialized in sea, air, and land arctic warfare)

SEaL Team Two?
Just read a series of novels by Brad Thor, where his character (Scot Harvath) is an ex-Navy SEaL from Team Two, the Arctic SEaLs. Blizzard would have been the perfect one to do that with. Just noticed, Bullhorn's second is Cavalry Scout. In homage to the convention set where he was the SWAT Hummer driver?

More a reference to his original filecard, where his secondary MOS was listed as the vague-ish "Armor." There are two enlisted MOSes under the Armor branch: Armor Crewman (tank crewman) and Cavalry Scout (who serve as infantry fighting vehicle and light-wheeled vehicle crew/drivers, and also conduct dismounted reconnaissance patrols and on-foot engagement). I went for the latter because it's more in line with how I see his skills, and also because the Cavalry Scout MOS is one of the few MOSes that can qualify for the Sniper additional skill identifier (the other one being Infantryman, of course). It's all filecard inspired.

I think we uncovered all the secrets. There are a few things we could touch on, but we've uncovered a lot. Some aspects of the comic can be added in at times since that is what we base things off of in conjunction with the filecards.
What we really haven't done too much with is Cobra. Hardly at all, but most of those guys don't give us much to speculate on from a military perspective. I mean the fact that the 3 original Dreadnoks first names are Tom, Dick, and Harry is pretty amusing, but none are military qualified. Zartan is somewhat of a mystery, but going to the Dreadnok declassified Comics is really the only source of new material. Unfortunately the ROC figures seems to be even more lacking. I've read the new prequel comics, and there is a little mystery there as to what Duke's rank is now or if he is a Marine or not. But it looks more like they just did a shotty job. |

The new RoC filecards SUCK BIG TIME!!!! Whoever did 'em should be shot, mulitple times, then beat by Road Pig.
So here's a question, what are the Dreadnok's qualifications? Think any of 'em had military experience? I think the ball was really dropped with the Dreadnoks. Too much was made of this "wild" biker gang aspect and not enough was made about the size of the group and their connections. Ever see "Sons of Anarchy", there's what the Dreadnoks could have been, or even closer to the Hells Angels (back in their really bad heyday). Biker gangs are free to roam around, have chapters everywhere. The Dreadnoks had the makings of being the perfect roving militia. Always on the move, made up of thugs and criminals. But they were created to be too flashy, with the look and the imagery and the cheesiness. I would love to see a "Resolute" work-up of the Dreadnoks that does away with the outdated look. I skipped all the 25th/ME figures because they just looked HORRIBLE by today's standards.

I think only Monkeywrench was part of a different terrorist organization. IRA or what have you there. The rest are just biker gang types.
