A Delta squadron is made of up three troops: a short-gun assault troop, a long-gun (sniper) assault troop and a Recon Troop. Each troop consists of 16 men that can be broken down into various teams. So a squadron, minus HQ and support staff, has about 48 men. The squardon isn't supposed to mimic other types of military squardons.

Some new images/filecards:
Red Dog & Budo design notes: - used former heavyweight contender David Tua's head for Red Dog. Tua's a New Zealand citizen, but he's ethnic Samoan and was actually born and spent most of his childhood in Western Samoa. Too bad about David Tua's career though. At one point, he was well on the way to becoming the next Mike Tyson... he definitely had Tyson's punching power and handspeed, and I think he actually had a tougher chin than old Iron Mike. In 2003, he was ranked the 48th most devastating puncher of all time by The Ring Magazine (ahead of ring legends like Cleveland "Big Cat" Williams, both Joe Walcotts, and the amazing Henry Armstrong). Unfortunately for the self-proclaimed "Terminator," he just couldn't improve his physical conditioning (a common problem with fighters of his build) and he was racing (and losing) against his waistline's expansion by the time he had enough wins to become a top-5 heavyweight, and it was pretty much all downhill from there. - With regards to his filecard, I made him a detached member of the PFPA (Pentagon Force Protection Agency)'s Antiterrorism/Force Protection Directorate, a nod to the the Renegades' original designation as "Pentagon Pest Control" in their original filecards. - Budo is just a reworking of the old Budo image I posted, adjusted to reflect his new position as an assault platoon grenadier. His "samurai armour" is actually a tactical recon harness, which sort of looks like the classic wooden samurai armour from certain angles. Gave him a tactical helmet with a face shield and a nape protector as an homage to the original's samurai helmet. Switched him to a MEU(SOC) rifleman, just to up the branch diversity quotient (besides, the USMC is the only service with a "Martial Arts Instructor" MOS). The full filecards can be read by clicking on the Filecard Project link in my signature. |

these look great! Budo is even better. And Red Dog looks super. Is he a bodyguard of sorts or something else? What is flying Armed training?

The 24th Special Tactics Squadron is even more loosely organized from what I've read. Sub-team composition is always mission-specific (I think this is partially due to the extremely specific nature of STS member duties) and unlike Delta or DEVGRU, their basic unit of organization isn't based on the fireteam model but is based on the variable 3, 4, or 5 man teams that Pararescue, CCT, and Combat Weather units employ. |

That's specialized training for federal agents with regards to the use of firearms inside flying commercial aircraft (I'm willing to bet the first lesson is "don't shoot out the windows!").

yeah I meant to ask about the 24th Special Tactics. I had never heard of them until I saw the chart. Who are they? What are they?

Combat Controller training requirements look very impressive on paper though (or onscreen as it were). They go through combat dive school, air controller school, basic airborne school, HALO/HAHO/Static line jump training, among others. By contrast, an SF operator or SEAL who is qualified both as a combat diver and a freefall parachutist is somewhat rare, especially when compared to a Combat Control Team, where every member is trained to to do both, and most of them are graduates of the Joint Firepower Course as well. Wasn't Tyrese Gibson's character in Transformers a Combat Controller?
I like Red Dog. Big and mean looking. Not someone to mess with. What's his role on the team exactly? Budo is a good update, he's an ugly mofo though.

See what's the difference of a Combat Controller who would be working with Delta Force or Green Berets and these 24thSpecial Tactics CCT commandos? Same training just now there is a whole platoon of them? or Company? I feel like an Airport seizure requires at least a company of men 75-150. Maybe more.
