She needs to think about it. When she translates Security Special Task force is sounds like Spetsnaz. I believe this is the way they abbreviate things to sound bettter. It seems like all the security agencies/directorates have a special unit.

Anyway, tell her there's no rush or anything, and that she can forget about it if it's too much of a hassle. And speaking of hassle, here's David "Salvo" Hasle (see what I did there?) and an updated Stalker: Salvo & Stalker design notes: - Stalker was updated to wear a multicam ensemble. I originally had him dressed in the "original 13 sweater" but it occured to me that he didn't actually wear one in his original outfit (at least not one in the same olive-drab as his mates). Anyway, I figured giving him a multicam light combat shirt would be a neat update to his original tigerstripe(?)/ERDL woodland(?) sweater. - Ah, Salvo. I really, really hated the character before starting the reference bible. And I'm the first to admit that the distaste was irrational, based on a minor design detail that nobody else probably pays much mind to. I wanted to skip him over initially, but Master Thespian convinced me that the character deserved a shot at reinterpretation, so here he is. - One of the things that I detested about the original toy (even as a 12 year old who was on the way to "outgrowing" his Joes) was the quasi-fascist proclamation on his shirt ("The Right of Might"). I know, I know, it's a phrase that was used by Abe Lincoln in an 1860 speech, where he said "Let us have faith that right makes might" in reference to how moral rectitude (exemplified by an opposition to slavery) empowers people to do their duty. Taken out of the speech's context though, I think that the phrase was probably intended to suggest the "Might Makes Right" view of Nietzsche-an normative "morality," especially when emblazoned on the chest of a rocket launcher-toting, horrendously musclebound soldier. - I don't really understand why the phrase and it's allusion to Nietzsche-an ethics bothers me so... especially when I actually agree with one of the main sentiments implicit in the statement, which is, to quote Thucydides: "the strong do what they can and the weak suffer what they must." I don't think of it as an imperative proclamation, but as a somewhat cynical observation of human nature (an observation which I share... I don't think that it's "right" in a moral or ethical sense, it's about as "right" or as "wrong" as the statement "it's humid today," its correctness only goes so far as how accurately it describes an observed condition). - Anyway, I spent most of last night thinking of a replacement phrase for his shirt. I was going to go with "Rangers Lead The Way" (the 75th RR motto). Alternatively, I toyed with the idea of making him a Marine and plastering the old adage: "Marines Don't Die, They Just Go To Hell To Regroup." I balked at the former because Salvo, even if he were to be Ranger-qualified, isn't the first Joe to come to mind when one thinks of a "Ranger" character. Ditto for the latter slogan and Salvo's potential status as a Marine. - In the end, I went with something that I think is just as provocative as his original shirt slogan but one less likely to be misconstrued as an endorsement of fascism or violence driven by an attitude of moral superiority. The phrase is "Sic Semper Tyrannis," the state motto of Virginia (Salvo's home-state). Translated from Latin, it means "Thus Always To Tyrants" (it is sometimes mistranslated as "Death to all tyrants" although in colloquial usage, both translations are almost equivalent). A much more nuanced and intelligent-sounding proclamation, with a history that is just as controversial, interesting, and thought-provoking as the one it replaces (John Wilkes Booth famously stated the phrase before shooting Abraham Lincoln, and of course, it was originally attributed to Marcus Junius Brutus upon his murder of Julius Caesar). - Also armed him with an AT4 light anti-tank weapon. I might have him as the leader of the MAAWS section, but it doesn't mean that he's got to be armed with an M3 MAAWS himself (especially since the TOE doesn't accord him an ammo bearer). Instead, I have him armed with a single-shot disposable weapon that gives him the flexibility to act as a field leader of the anti-armor section. So here's the start of the new "Fort Hama", which will be similar to the PITs and the Rock from the comics, it'll mostly be underground in be in the side of a mountain.
So I'm starting with the hanger. In the upper corner is the equipment/parts storage, the 2nd floor of that will be the offices (Payload, Ace, the Pilot Ready Room, etc..). That line sticking way up in the sky going nowhere is where the mountain face will be. Closer-up on the offices area. The door on the hanger floor is the access to the Armory Elevator. The opening on the office level goes to the 3 Personal Elevators. Closer-up on the Armory Elevator. There's the door in the hanger and a corridor that the ammo delivery vehicles can drive down and then the elevator doors.

Up on the office level, looking into the Personal Elevators. There are 3. You go down a little corridor and it opens up into the elevator lobby.
Looking back on the elevator shafts.

I really like what you did with Salvo. Like I said, despite the shirt his look was perfect for your updated squad.

Zulu, great job on Joe, Stalker, and Salvo. Is Joe wearing a BAR belt? It sure looks like one. As far as the psych profiles go, I seem to recall Larry saying once that he pictured them as Duke talking with Stalker over beers and saying, "So, tell me about the new guy."
